How did you select this firm and what were the deciding factors?

He created more problems than he solved.

Describe the engagement and overall scope of work in detail, including the stages of the partnership and any software or documents used.

Shockingly, appallingly unprofessional. Completely technically incapable. Horrible communication. Failed to follow through numerous times with my requests, then didn't even bother to tell me he wasn't able to do the job, leaving me stranded. Had no problem sending my account passwords in a cleartext email.

His "secure email" service is virtually useless - even he doesn't use it. Had to explain to him the basics of computer security with my data and QB onboarding. The sign of a good accountant is not how he handles things when they go as planned, but how they take responsibility for a situation, follow through, and fix it when there's problems. There are dozens of other accountants in the area - avoid this joker at all costs.

Complete unprofessional. Failed to do the most basic forms of communication, then just shirked his responsibilities after committing to the project

No communication. Did he lie about sending me emails? I never received them, but then also complained about needing more passwords - was he inept too?

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Absolutely nothing.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I would not let him manage my dog walking business.
