The Economic and Workforce Development Department (EWDD) is dedicated to building local businesses, providing residents with the tools they need for quality employment, and improving the economic outlook for the City of Los Angeles. Our objectives include developing innovative projects, and creating exciting opportunities that will offer outstanding service to the businesses and residents of our city. Small and large business owners or startups may be eligible for direct and indirect financing, technical assistance or tax incentive programs. There are business retention, attraction and revitalization activities as well as project development financing.
