This project entailed a video shoot at our corporate headquarters in Bloomfield Hills, MI as well as a video shoot at 3 of our salons in Ohio (1 of each of our brands) to capture interviews and b-roll footage. The focus and goal of the video project was to provide a glimpse into our company for all new hires that onboard and give them a clear and consistent welcome from top leaders in the company.

Yes, the team was communicative and if there were any delays it was because of the constant collaboration back and forth when in the final editing stages of the video project.

The quality of the work was very impressive for a smaller studio like Blitz. They handled everything from the storyboard, directing, filming, and editing. They did a great job guiding the interviewees and making them feel comfortable when speaking in front of the camera.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Blitz Studios could have done differently?

Communication is always key for success and efficiency. While communication was always present and never lacking, the timing of responses could be improved. Perhaps an automated message could be implemented for when the studio is busy traveling or doing another video shoot so that the client reaching out is aware and expects a bit of a delayed response. Understandably, a production studio is going to be busy so I think the automated messaging would help set those expectations for the response time.

Our goals were to get professional photo and videography done to showcase our properties for a marketing campaign. The photo were very useful and vital in regards to upholding a very professional image of the property. We use the content in our leasing efforts, and the images are blasted through many social media, and commercial real estate marketplaces.

I found this vendor through word of mouth, and after a little research, i was able to deem their competence.

Since there were a dozen properties, we had to coordinate different dates and times for almost every property. We prefer to have the work done on sunny days, so we also had to coordinate around that.

Blitzs Studios was very transparent about timing, scheduling dates, and most importantly sticking to those dates and providing clear and concise deadlines that they were able to manage. They often times shared work throughout the process to get our feedback and ensure customer satisfaction.

Our leasing team has been able to confidently market the properties knowing they have professional shots to showcase. In addition, we use this footage for investor reports quarterly.

We hired Blitz Studios to create a film that highlights the impact of the woman’s club on the island and their different initiatives. Since this was semi-virtual, we wanted to create a video that both entertained and educated the audience on the impact of the Woman’s Club. We hired Blitz Studios to film 3 days on the island and create a “Wizard of Oz” theme video to showcase the initiatives

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We received Matthew (the owner of Blitz) contact information from a referral who had worked with him in the past. They spoke very highly of his work and customer service so it was an easy choice when deciding who to hire for the job

We worked with Blitz Studios and creating a storyboard and vision for the video. We decided on the theme of “Wizard of Oz”. We casted a group of actors to play the different main characters such as Dorothy, the lion, scarecrow, and tin man. The idea was instead of being whisked away into the magical land of Oz, they were whisked away into the magical land of Boca Grande.

We mimic the Wizard of Oz story but focused on the scholarship and grant recipients of the Woman’s Club. The main characters would travel around the island and interview the different recipients with cinematic scenes in between interviews

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

We worked directly with Matthew at Blitz Studios. The process was great. He was quick to respond and brought a lot of great ideas to the table. During production, he will professional, efficient, and fun to be around. We were on a time crunch from shooting to the day of the event but Matt was able to turn it around quickly while maintaining a high level of quality and cinematic abilities

The event was a great success. We got a tremendous amount of feedback from the audience about the video. Majority said it was the highlight of the event and it helped raise substantially more money than previous years

Blitz studios was incredibly organized. They also provided some of their own creative content with our vision/goals in mind. He was available at any time via cell, video chat, or email. We were never left to wait and they were always early to our shoots.

I think what we found most unique was the intimate experience of working with Matt and his team. We didn’t have to go through a ton of project managers, editors, etc. We worked directly through Matt who was in correspondent with his team. He was also extremely flexible and was able to accommodate all of our needs.

The event was a huge success and I could not have been happier with the outcome. I would not have changed anything

I have Blitz Studios on speed dial. They are one of my go-to resources when we are planning any event. I usually shoot them an email with my time frame and a brief description of what I am looking for. They call or email me back asking for more specific details.

They arrive on-site early, communicate exactly what they are doing and make everyone feel at ease. I like to tell everyone that they are magicians when it comes to editing. They make everyone sound polished. They prepare a draft. We suggest a few edits and they deliver a fantastic video every time.

The owner Matt is is awesome and is my first point of contact. Jasmine is great, the other Matt is great... Quite honestly anybody who has supported us from Blitz Studios has been fantastic.

We have had a ton of customers share that they really appreciate all the videos we put out. Especially during the pandemic it was such a unique way to stay connected to our clients. We have had countless people approach us to ask who is responsible for our content. We have referred them back to Blitz on multiple occations.

Simple and on my terms. I can call, text and/or email as needed I have them on speed dial and know that I can always get a response.

Their collaboration is unmatched. I was extremely impressed with how quickly they got to know us and our voice. I also love how available they make themselves. We don't always give enough advance notice on our projects and they always find a way to make it work.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

When I email their shared email address, I don't always know who is responding to my inquiry. Which on one hand is good, because they have a very cohesive team and they speak in one voice. I am sure if I asked them they would tell me but probably wouldn't be a bad idea if they set up individual signature lines so you always know who you are working with.
