I’m the director of sales for an IT outsourcing company.

We hired Blakely to provide financial advisory services for our business.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Blakely helps us with our investments in the stock market. They also provide wealth and succession planning services for our business. While we use another accounting firm for our taxes, the Blakely team also advises us on how we can mitigate taxes from investments. 

What is the team composition?

I work with one financial adviser who manages our portfolio. 

How did you come to work with Blakely Financial Services?

The financial adviser and I went to high school together; we’ve been friends since then. When he started the company, we decided to work with them. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $50,000 in terms of investments, and Blakely makes a commission off of our stock trades. We’ve also paid them around $600 for an assessment. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Blakely in June 2020, and the engagement is ongoing. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our investment portfolio is doing well — the ROI is great — so we have no complaints. 

How did Blakely Financial Services perform from a project management standpoint?

Blakely understands our goals, so they’re great. We typically communicate in person; I also send them text messages and emails. I usually have breakfast with the adviser every Wednesday. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their reliability is impressive; every time I need them, they’re there.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren’t any.
