We’ve seen an increase in ad spend and have achieved a 15% rise in ROAS. Overall, Black Propeller has exceeded our expectations. Although I thought there would be a learning curve and they might not hit the ground running, they’ve shown progress since day one.
How did Black Propeller perform from a project management standpoint?
Everything they’ve done has been within the budget we’ve established, and their communication style has been absolutely wonderful. For tools, we’ve used emails, Google Meet, and Google Documents.

Mary has been truly hands-on in terms of learning about our goals. She’s done a fabulous job following up on all of those.

As the client, you must do your part to voice out and communicate what you’re trying to achieve. If you don’t have a clear understanding of that, then Black Propeller won’t also have it — and the results will not be as good as you want.

We originally left a review in 2019 after paying Black Propeller $500 for services they never delivered. There was no scoping call, no onboarding, no communication—nothing. Not a single task was completed, and they made no effort to understand our business or initiate the engagement. When we requested a refund, they refused.
Now, in 2025, they’ve finally responded—but only because it’s considered best practice by Google to reply to all reviews. Their reply is a generic, rehearsed statement about “transparency” and “professionalism,” carefully crafted to protect their public image while brushing over the fact that they took payment from our company and delivered absolutely zero in return. Let’s be clear: they didn’t respond because they care about what happened. They responded because they care about how it looks. They’ve made no effort to resolve the issue or take accountability for taking money without providing any service. Their focus is not on righting a wrong—it’s on optimizing their Google profile.
This is not a miscommunication. This is a company that accepted payment under false pretenses and refused to issue a refund, despite never initiating any part of the agreement. That’s not a misunderstanding. That’s unethical.
Unless they choose to correct this and issue a full refund, this review—and others like it—will remain as a public record of how they conduct business.

I engaged Black Propeller for PPC management, expecting professional service, clear communication, and tangible results, particularly given the critical nature of the holiday sales period (Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Cyber Week, and Christmas). Unfortunately, my experience fell far short of expectations.
Positive Aspects:
Onboarding: The onboarding process was smooth and well-organized. Major Concerns:
Performance: Despite a detailed discussion of project scope, the results were disappointing. I've signed our agreement and paid $4,000, starting October 18th, yet work officially began on October 31st. The delay significantly impacted my holiday sales preparation.
Communication: Throughout the process, communication was inconsistent. Follow-up emails seeking updates on performance, reports, and progress often went unanswered or delayed.
Team Expertise: During a meeting to discuss account performance, my account manager struggled to answer fundamental questions about the campaign's progress and goals. This culminated in an unprofessional and disheartening moment when the manager became visibly emotional, signaling a lack of preparedness and support from their team.
Account Management: It was evident that Black Propeller placed the responsibility for my account on an inexperienced team member without proper oversight or support. This approach was unprofessional and disrespectful to me as a client.
Conclusion: Despite emphasizing the critical importance of this project for my business, Black Propeller failed in nearly every aspect of execution. Black Propeller was outstanding to work with. I worked with Nick D at BP, and I highly recommend him specifically. If you have the opportunity to work with anyone at BP, I'd recommend going with Nick. He's a true expert in PPC and was able to provide in-depth analysis and accurate guidance on tough strategic decisions. One memorable experience working with Nick was when I adamantly disagreed with him on a strategy choice, but he helped me understand where I was wrong. You don't want a PPC agency that agrees with everything you say—you need someone who knows what they are actually doing. Nick knows what he's doing; he also has a great attitude and excellent communication and client service skills. He goes above and beyond.
