The contact and media inquiry section was also set up to route requests to the right people PR contacts and the publisher separately. Everything was delivered as a complete ready to launch package.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

After the website launched the book reached the 7 spot on the New York Times Best Seller list for Nonfiction 16 on USA Today for all US books 9 on Publishers Weekly for all Trade Paperbacks and 1 on ABA for Nonfiction. The author platform now supports an audience of over 650,000 followers and subscribers across social channels. The site has become the central point for all media requests book inquiries and reader engagement since going live.

Big Apple Publishers kept the project moving without requiring constant follow up. Updates came through regularly and nothing was left sitting without a response for long. When specific requests came in around how the media contact section needed to be structured and how the social links needed to be displayed those were handled without going back and forth multiple times. The site was delivered within the timeline that had been discussed at the start and nothing major needed reworking after the launch.

What stood out most was that Big Apple Publishers understood this was an author platform, not just a generic website. Media contacts readers and book buyers all land on the same site but find what they are looking for without the layout getting in the way. That kind of thinking about who actually visits the site is not something every agency brings to the table.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Big Apple Publishers could have done differently?

A more detailed walkthrough of the SEO setup after the site launched would have been useful knowing which keywords were being targeted and how the pages were structured for search from the beginning would have helped with the content strategy earlier on. That is a minor point overall and did not affect the final outcome but it would make the handoff feel more complete for anyone who wants to manage their own visibility after the site goes live.

The biggest result was having one website where readers can find my book and everything connected to it. Having all of this in one place has made it much easier to direct readers and book clubs to information about my work.

The project was handled in a straightforward way. I was able to explain what I wanted included on the site and they worked with those requirements as the website came together. I liked that they were able to bring together many different parts of my work without making the website feel like it was only about one book. I would have liked more guidance on managing the website after the project was finished. Since an author website can grow with new books events interviews and other updates having more instructions on making those changes myself would have been helpful. More attention to the long-term maintenance side would have made the overall experience even better.
