I’m the marketing lead at espresso Displays, a portable monitor startup.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Bettermade.Design?

We needed a series of performance advertisements done.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Bettermade.Design designed a series of ads for a paid social media campaign. We gave the team a brief, some references, our outlined audience, and our goals. From there, they asked some questions and then provided 6–8 different variations on the designs. The designs show our product in use by user personas relevant to our audience.

We worked with Long (Founder & Creative Director). 

How did you come to work with Bettermade.Design?

I’ve known the Bettermade.Design team for a while, but we had never worked together. When this project came about, I reached out to them, and they said yes.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent under $5,000 AUD (approximately $3,500 USD). 

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together in June 2022. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We just published the ads and are seeing promising results early on. However, we don’t have concrete success metrics yet. Still, we were extremely satisfied with the designs. Bettermade.Design was thorough in asking for more information, which reduced the amount of time spent going back and forth. As a result, they turned the project around in a couple of weeks. Moreover, the team was very professional with their deliverables’ presentation. 

Communicating with designers can be difficult if they don’t have a specific sensibility and training, so we needed a trustworthy partner. We had a very easy process with Bettermade.Design; they carried out the entire project without too much of our supervision. They’re now on our books, so we’ll reach out to them when we need more work done.

How did Bettermade.Design perform from a project management standpoint?

They delivered the project on time. We communicated via Slack and email. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was impressed with Bettermade.Design’s experience and breadth of knowledge. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything they needed to improve; they had very good execution. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Prepare a good brief because of the Bettermade.Design team will respond well to that. Ready all the assets that will help them succeed with the design. Moreover, give them as much information as possible and trust them to make a good decision. They work really well when you provide them with a sandbox to play with.
