Gabriel Amijai Benderski Perez was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, into a Jewish home in 5748 or 1988. He started his formal training by studying graphic design at ORT University, where he obtained a BA. As an independent designer, he helped develop for Club Atlético Peñarol the 1891 brand and the visual identity system for their stadium.
The Social Poster Exhibition is part of The Uruguayan Plan for Human Rights Education, and it was declared of Educational Interest by the Ministry of Education and Culture. Thanks to the disposal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the posters are displayed in Uruguayan Embassies around the world.
Talks, workshops and, exhibitions were held in New York, Warsaw, Ottawa, Toronto, and in four cities around Uruguay.
He established La Patria, an Uruguayan graphic design archive was started. It seeks to rescue and revalue our cultural heritage by looking at the various proposals that graphic design produced in the territory.
