Benchmark Geomatics is 100% locally owned and operated in Medicine Hat, AB.  Expertise in Legal Surveys, Construction Surveying and Remote Sensing.  This typically includes Subdivisions, Condominiums, Commercial and Industrial Construction, 3D Scanning using ground based or aerial LiDAR and Photogrammetry.  Search and Rescue capability.

Adam Thompson, A.L.S, is an Alberta Land Surveyor with Benchmark.  Adam's focus is on legal land surveys involving the determination and conveyance of parcel boundaries and the interest/title to land.  Adam has over 20 years experience in surveying and he holds a degree in Geomatics Engineering from the University of New Brunswick.  He is also an active member of the Alberta Land Surveyors'​ Association.

Graeme Teare is the Construction Surveys Manager at Benchmark. Graeme has been working on projects in Medicine Hat for over 20 years.  He is a Geomatics Engineering Technologist and since graduating from SAIT has supervised large scale construction projects such as grading, building construction, piles, deep utilities, roads and bridge construction.  Graeme’s works closely with engineers and project managers to promote the best outcome of any project at the most reasonable budget.

Raymond Penner is our UAV Chief Pilot and Remote Sensing specialist.  With a diversity of knowledge gained through 15 years of field experience in Civil and Aviation, he is capable of delivering customized geospatial data that is directly coordinated to the task at hand.  Using cutting edge sensors like LiDAR and radiometric thermal, Ray is creating realistic digital twins for industrial design and expansion or he can provide ground contours through heavy vegetation.
