At Basiliscus Film, Stephanie Drescher and Uwe Schwarze are the well-practised team behind the film productions. Our Story
We are Basiliscus Film, a Berlin-based film production team led by DoP Uwe Schwarze and editor/producer Stephanie Drescher. Trained in visual communication and with 30+ years’ combined practice, we craft documentaries, reports, corporate and TV productions, drone and live‑stream shoots, and Avid postproduction. Our team blends artistic design, technical expertise and broadcaster experience (ARD, ZDF, Deutsche Welle, SPIEGEL TV) to deliver storytelling-led, technically robust films.
Meet the Team
Uwe SchwarzeCameraman, managing director
Uwe studied at the Berlin University of the Arts and has been behind the camera for over 20 years. He has extensive experience as a lighting cameraman and is the artistic heart of our film production.
Stephanie Drescherdirector, author, executive producer
Stephanie is a trained journalist. She is passionate about news and information of all kinds. She is a tough reporter and the heart and soul of our film production, loved by all the protagonists.
