The Barista League was created as a response to a need for more community-driven events in the coffee industry. In being both relevant and accessible to actual working baristas, The Barista League has grown from a grassroots competition in the outskirts of a small Swedish city to notoriety as one of the biggest contenders in the international coffee competition scene. Unlike traditional barista competitions, there are no entry fees or perplexing rulebooks – it’s all about teams of two having fun and making coffee in three fast-paced multidisciplinary rounds.
