Founded and based in Birmingham since 1942, BMRS has a tradition of excellence instilled by its founders Frank Bainbridge (1895-1980) and Walter L. Mims (1910-1993). For the past half-century, Bainbridge’s son Frank M. Bainbridge has been a chief steward of that reputation while navigating changing times and issues, and always leading by example.

From its earliest days, the firm has played a central and integral role in the Birmingham Bar Association, with four partners having served as president.
