Giselle Aguiar’s debut novel, Deo Volente (God Willing): Love in the First Century won second prize in the 2010 Women of Faith Writing Contest and is available through your favorite bookseller. It’s the first of a series following Christian church history through the centuries. Sales of the novel benefit StreetLightUSA.org, a shelter that helps victims of child prostitution and human trafficking.
Born in Puerto Rico and raised in New York, Giselle has a degree in business administration with a minor in advertising and marketing from Green Mountain College in Vermont. In college, she was a member of the national dramatic society, Alpha Psi Omega. After college, she worked in retail management, public relations, advertising, sales, marketing, travel, and tourism. She was blessed to have had the opportunity to travel all over the Caribbean, Panama Canal, Alaska, and Italy. Her tour of Italy took her to Rome, Naples, Herculaneum, and Pompeii where she first experienced the ancient Roman culture, inspiring her novel.
In 1995, she started two companies, a Christian Internet dating service and an Internet marketing consultancy.
Giselle currently lives in Phoenix, Arizona where she works as social media consultant, coach and trainer at AZSocialMediaWiz.com. She offers 1:1 coaching and training to help the small business owner learn social media marketing.
