Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

AvoTechs was initially responsible for the strategy of integrating Knowde Product Information Management system with SAP S/4HANA. As time passed and the collaboration between Knowde and AvoTechs developed, backed by successful customer implementations, it was decided to build a reusable connector to speed up future integration projects.

As a result, AvoTechs was tasked with designing and building a connector based on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Integration Suite. The connector had to follow SAP's best practices, ensure upgrade-safety and optimal TCO. To conclude this part of the project, the connector had to undergo rigorous testing by SAP to get the official SAP Certified stamp which AvoTechs successfully delivered.

To summarise, AvoTechs helped Knowde get from an initial idea to a live customer implementation based on a certified connector by architecting, building and implementing a SAP S/4HANA integration for Knowde PIM

Junior Project & Marketing Manager in Nutricia Poland. Nutricia is a leader in the sale of products for infants and young children and medical food for people requiring medical nutrition.

For what projects/services did your company hire AvoTechs, and what were your goals?

We wanted to develop a mobile app for the doctors to help them navigate through enteral nutrition: calculate the patient nutritional needs and suggest the most suitable product in the right amount. We know that lack of knowledge is a barrier to introducing nutrition in hospitals so we wanted to provide doctors with a helpful tool.

Our goal was to create an intuitive, user-friendly mobile app that created a summary of patient results ready to be printed and added to medical documentation.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We searched for recommended developers and shortlisted 6. After interviewing them, we chose the vendor based on their offer, responsiveness and cost estimate.

We had a series of calls to determine our goals, objectives and timeline. First we received the graphic projects, then video mock-ups. All our feedback was incorporated and we quickly developed a version that we accepted. All the stages of development were completed on time.

The point of contact was the developer and CEO of Avotechs - Mr Mateusz Skrzyniarz.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The project was closed after the development of the app, it was not moved to testing with doctors as we met unexpected regulatory problems: the app turned out to be a medical device and the complex registration process stopped us from publishing it.

We communicated through emails and on the phone as it was the easiest way for me. This was our first mobile app, they were patient and answered all the questions.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Punctuality - everything was on time.

Communication - very responsive.

Professionalism - they really know what they are doing.

Individual approach to the client and understanding the problems - always open and responding to feedback.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The first graphic designs were antiquated, but after sending some inspirations we swiftly came to terms

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there:

Rest-Cent.de is a donation platform to connect any kind of online shop system with charity organizations. The idea is that we provide plugins for each online shop system to introduce the so called 'rest cent' which shall be a simple donation function for both target user: shop owners who will donate the cents after the comma of any purchase done in their shops and shop users who can easily donate the rounded cents to the next full EUR amount. These 'rest cents' will then be automatically routed via our platform to a charity organization.

What challenge were you trying to address with the vendor?

Build an entire architecture end to end with highest degree on innovation and automation. Building plugins for all eCommerce systems and a portal to run all business processes for involved parties such as shops and charities…from donation transaction to withdrawal of money from bank accounts, creation of donation receipt, export of data for profit & loss and accounting departments for shop owners and charities

What was the scope of their involvement? 

Providing guidance on entire IT architecture, creation of specification and design documents for external developers and freelancers and development of portal infrastructure in AWS

What is the team composition? 

Business Owner and requirements is from our company, CTO-like role, Designer and Development is mainly from AvoTechs, for certain plugin developments AvoTechs controls the development and quality assurance process also for external parties

How did you come to work with the vendor?

Mateusz was once in my team at our common time when Mateusz was working for SAP SE in Germany. He left my team to found his own company in the software industry. During his time at SAP he was already having an outstanding experience and technical knowledge compared to any other team member. So I knew the quality of work and profound technical knowledge from that time.

How much have you invested with them?

Initial engagement started off as a 25.000 EUR contract. However, as the time went by, we decided to move to a partnership model and offer AvoTechs incentive in return for further support at a limited budget. Due to the early stage of the company, we need to have a technical partner to guide us through the technical challenges and AvoTechs proved to be the perfect fit for the role.

Still ongoing and growing

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We are meanwhile live with our infrastructure, portal and have the first shops and charities connected. With the currently available plugins we can already address technically about 30.000 online shops in Germany. 

The website www.rest-cent.de(link is external) has been built by AvoTechs. 

E-commerce plugins were also designed and their development was also coordinated by AvoTechs - https://store.shopware.com/en/restc45069453659f/rest-cent-donation.html…;(link is external)

The entire Portal (Dashboard) available at me.rest-cent.de was also fully designed and developed by AvoTechs

How did the vendor perform from a project management standpoint?

Best collaboration model ever! Business side project management from our side, technical project management from AvoTechs.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Simple and fast solutions for all critical areas. They are very flexible. Their simple and fast solutions for all critical areas are beyond our expectations.
