In 1987, the AVID engineering team delivered the first bottle vision gauge to Silgan Plastics in Ligonier, Indiana for HDPE plastic bottle measurement. It was the first ever such device used by a plastic bottle maker, replacing tedious micrometer and optical comparator measurement with an automated measurement device.
Since our founding in 1992, AVID Corporation has provided custom vision-based measurement, detection and inspection systems for online and offline industrial applications.
