    Yes—when replacement isn’t practical, we can support legacy systems with clear risk controls. While we recommend modernization first, some environments depend on specialized hardware and software that can’t be upgraded without major cost or disruption. For example, we support an environmental lab instrument tied to Windows 2000; replacing the controller would cost ~$500K. We’ve maintained that Windows 2000 system reliably for 7+ years. How we make legacy safe and stable: Isolation and segmentation: keep legacy systems off the open internet, restrict access to only the devices and services required, and enforce strict VLAN/ACL rules.
