Authors Everest were hired to provided us with a developmental edit and cover art from our manuscript and cover art we provided.

We found them through an online search. We chose them because their pricing fit our budget.

We didn't have any measurable outcomes from our project with Authors Everest. All the documents they provided needed constant repairs that they weren't doing.

How did Authors Everest perform from a project management standpoint?

Authors Everest's project management was poor. They didn't deliver on time. Our project cycled through four different representatives. Our primary form of communication was email and messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive or unique about them?

We were impressed by their lack of integrity and honor. It was a complete disgrace.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could have kept their word. Even the escalation manager didn't keep their word.

We paid Authors Everest for editing and publishing services. After receiving the files, we consulted an independent editor whose feedback aligned with our concerns about the quality and level of editorial care.

We ultimately requested a partial refund due to concerns with the work and overall lack of quality and progress. In writing, we were told the “next step” was on our side: we had to remove our review first to receive the refund. We were told, “If you remove the reviews today, I give you my word — your refund will be processed by Monday.” When we declined, we were told they were “insisting” on review removal first because they needed “leverage.”

We removed the reviews in good faith. After that, the timeline changed again to “max 2–3 days,” along with a promise to send proof of the transaction. No refund has been issued. No proof of transaction has been provided. Our follow-ups have gone unanswered.

They also stated the editor assigned to our project was later terminated due to issues across multiple projects, which aligned with our original concerns.

For us, this turned into a significant waste of both time and money.

 Authors Everest did everything perfectly. We received positive feedback from readers, and their marketing was outstanding. The team did social media marketing, which helped us increase our online engagement and follower growth from zero to 300 clicks per month.
