Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the owner of a construction company in Toronto. We provide full-service renovations and home building services.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Astra Social, and what were your goals?

Our website was very basic and lacked a lot of features as well it had an outdated look. We hired Astra after being referred to them and having a few meetings with them. Our goal was to create a new, modern and optimized website with updated content, new landing pages for our ad campaigns and additional features our previous website lacked.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We initially did a search online but then were referred to Astra by another company in the industry. We really loved their energy and their mentality with everything. Right from the first meeting they treated us as so much more than just a client, and we were able to really build a relationship together. We also looked over some of their previous work and were happy with the work they have done.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

It all started with a free discovery call that we scheduled on their website to discuss what we were looking for and to learn a bit more about them. After the first discovery call, we arranged for a second call which was longer than the initial call. In this call, we went over all of the details and our goals more in-depth and answered any questions they had so that they could provide a price for the work.

After receiving pricing and giving them the green light to start the work they got right to it starting on the same day. They provided us with access to see the website as we pleased to watch it progress and also provided plenty of updates as things were completed and as we progressed to the final product.

After completing the website they came to us to review and request any revisions we wanted and once things were 100% (which they really made sure we were happy with everything) then we launched the new website. They developed our website on wordpress using elementor!

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We worked directly with the owner and he took care of everything for us while overlooking the entire process and making sure everything was done as it needed to be.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The new website has caused a serious increase in our traffic, up to 300%, we are now receiving more leads, we are ranking more for organic search terms and our clients are loving the website and the new features such as the blog we started.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

We had direct contact with the owner if we had any questions or concerns or if there were any changes we wanted to make. We communicated through email, text, and zoom meetings. They kept us informed throughout the entire process, providing us updates almost everyday with how things were going and where they were on the project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They really cared about us and made sure we were happy with the final product. They took the extra time and went the extra mile to help answer questions and make sure everything was good before handing the website off to us. Their mentality was really something else. They were honest about everything and really transparent about their work.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I think they did an amazing job with the entire process, there were some minor bugs with the website which they were quick to fix as soon as we brought it up. It's easy to miss small things on something as complex as a website and they told us when the project was done if they found any problems or bugs to let them know and they would come and fix them right away. Overall I think they will continue to improve with time and experience.
