Originally from ex-Yugoslavia, Marijana Tropin is a native speaker of Croatian and Serbian languages. When she was growing up, the language used to be called “Serbo-Croatian.” She lived and was educated in both Serbia and Croatia and is thus familiar with the delicate nuances of both languages.
She studied at the Medical School and the School of Philosophy at the University of Rijeka, Croatia, where she got a degree in Psychology. Her love of languages, different cultures, and her travels have led her to learn English, Italian, French, Spanish, and Portuguese (and more recently, Greek and Czech!). Upon moving to the US, where she currently resides, she launched her translation career in 2007, focusing on providing translation services to Croatian, Serbian, and Bosnian from English and vice versa.
