Asher Slaunwhite Architects

Founded by Mark Asher as Asher Associates Architects in 1993, the firm changed its name to Asher Slaunwhite Architects in 2018 to reflect new principal Deborah Slaunwhite. Asher Slaunwhite Architects provides quality residential and light commercial architecture via offices in Jenkintown, Pa., and Stone Harbor, N.J. to clients along the east coast. The practice has become well-known for its expertise in coastal architecture and its design of “Asher Houses” recognized for timeless details, fine craftsmanship, and elegant simplicity.

Asher Architect's design ideology is rooted in “New Urbanist” philosophies which assert that buildings should be designed as good neighbors, deliberately intended to have a gentle impact on the streetscape and community. Asher-designed buildings, whether traditional or contemporary, are quietly beautiful and constructed with a craftsmanship and richness in detail that enables them to age gracefully, gaining character as the years pass. Asher Associates’ reputation for designing buildings of lasting quality is based on the view that each project should be designed with the community in mind.
