In 1961, Art's Mexican Products was established in Armourdale, KS by Arthur and Angela Gutierrez. Art's Mexican Products was originally located at 4th & Kansas Avenue. Four years later, Art's relocated to its current location at 615 Kansas Avenue, Kansas City, KS. This location initially housed a restaurant, grocery store and tortilla manufacturing plant. The restaurant closed in the 1970's to allow for more manufacturing space as Art's Mexican Products began to expand its wholesale sales.
