Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the Art Director for Vital Performance, the sports line from Vital Proteins. We produce collagen based protein powders and bars for the everyday athlete to the professional athlete.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Aris: Film Production + Post.?

We hired Aris to help us tell the story of an athlete and how they incorporate our products into their routine. We wanted to bring awareness to the use of our products as well as inspire and motivate our audience.

How did you select this vendor?

We had worked with Aris on a previous campaign. Because of their professionalism, production value, and quick turn around, it was a no brainer to work with them again. Aris is truly a class act and I would recommend them to anyone.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

We worked to create a concept within budget that also felt premium. Aris brought together a director/DP, crew, managed licensing, ran seamless pre and post meetings, executed quickly and easily with edits/revisions, and delivered a :06, :15, :30, and :60 in various ratios for social media and digital ads.

What was the team composition?

Our in-house team made up of myself and the Director of Performance worked directly with the EP at Aris. He then managed all communication and contracts with the director/DP and their team, including hair, make up, set design, etc. We had a full scale production team on set (~20 people with crew).

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We continue to see increased engagement when we share this creative, as well as overall increased brand awareness.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Pre-production was communicative and fluid. We were so prepared for the shoot, that the day of filming was so smooth and enjoyable. We had a fluid workflow in post-production, where the EP would work with their editor and a third party app to facilitate easy communication between us so that any edits were exact and clear for their team to adjust.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was most impressed with their knowledge and professionalism. They are truly experts in their field. You can tell they care about the success of the project, want to make great work, take pride in their craft, and are a joy to work with. The attitude of Greg, the EP at Aris is so welcoming, thoughtful, and organized that we always felt in good hands. What's more, they set a tone on set that resulted a positive, collaborative experience. We look forward to working with them again.

Is there any area for improvement or anything that could have been done differently?

Slack would be helpful to communicate vs. email.

We are a PR, communications, marketing and ad agency. My position is Senior Video Producer on our Content Team for the Western Region

For what projects/services did your company hire Aris: Film Production + Post., and what were your goals?

Our gaming client Riot Games wanted to capture a partnership with Golden State Warriors to announce the 2022 edition of the biggest Esports competition in the world on less than 10 days notice. They needed to capture, produce and publish a comprehensive variety of content covering live event promotional activities across Oracle Areas, for same day and next day turnaround.

Our goal was to find a soup to nuts production vendor who could not only wrangle a large team together but be exceedingly thorough in contingency planning, and with very little direction from the client or our agency.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Our deciding factors for awarding this project was their competitive cost, first rate customer and client service, and a history of successful productions for our agency across a variety of scales.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.

We started with a kickoff meetings to brief Aris on the project, quickly moved to bidding, where they were fast and very flexible towards evolving client requests. We then held several calls together with the client and Aris to understand logistics, only a few days prior to the event. We then also help meetings with Golden State Warriors, pivoting fast when we became informed very late that several crew would need to be union.

Finally they captured content (on a Sunday afternoon) and editing content for same day delivery onsite and continued editing to deliver all content on schedule next day.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

I worked with Executive Producer Greg. Greg strikes a perfect balance between direct candor and white-glove service communications. He's quick to point out potential roadblocks without causing alarm and always comes to the table with options. He takes feedback well and also shares helpful feedback for our team too continues to improve our processes.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Clients were exceptionally pleased with the results. They intend to use the content Aris captured for a variety if extra uses beyond the initial wave of real-time publishing.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Aris was extensive in providing a lot of structure on a short timeline. They regularly kept all parties up to date with real-time communications as necessitated by the quick turn. And even produced a production booklet that captured all the details of the shoot. They set realistic cutoffs for essential decisions to be made, and for deliveries of products as agreed upon.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are at once personable and machinelike. They don't miss a beat, and they also come up with solutions and execute exactly as they explained they would. They do even better when things hit the fan to no fault of their own. They were quick to adjust and often go the extra mile to ensure our company and clients were satisfied.
