We needed to build a taxonomy engine and graphics generator for our gaming platform. Essentially taking thousands of different bet types and creating a platform that could generate visualization around those bets using AI to put the right bet in front of the right person.

We have known Chris since his days at Navteq and have tremendous respect for his team and work ethic.

We followed a structured design and development methodology of analysis, info exchange, ideation and then solutioning. We are a Agile organization so they fit right into our framework.

At times as many as 6 but we used what was needed at the time it was needed based on the project flow.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have worked with tons of tech groups in the past, and Arc Web had a level of maturity and commitment to problem solving that is un matched. They were not a job shop, they really think and solve.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Incredible. They know how to do program management. We had all the tech infrastructure shared as well as collaboration tools like Slack and Jira. 10 our of 10 on this front.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are thinkers not just doers. They listen and solve. We gave them a complex problem and they really dug into it and helped us find a solution

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nope. We got way more than we expected

I’m the business and technology manager for a children’s hospital in Philadelphia.

What challenge were you trying to address with Arcweb Technologies?

We hired Arcweb for their custom software development services.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Arcweb’s tasks entailed converting a series of around 100 user stories into a web-based custom app UI design. It also had a matching custom database and composite leading indicator (CLI) components in the background. The software’s main purpose was to process clinical data in a more 21st-century approach. 

Essentially, we used the software to streamline employees’ workflow. Using it, the computer could do the data-hunting process while our people could focus on working more effectively. Meanwhile, Arcweb didn’t provide any maintenance services. For context, one of our main requirements was to have a product that could be hosted entirely by our team, so we didn’t have to engage their resources continuously; it was a deliberate build-and-transfer engagement.

We worked with fewer than a dozen people from Arcweb, including one main point of contact. They also brought in a couple of designers to provide more aesthetics to the product. 

How did you come to work with Arcweb Technologies?

We had a previous experience with Arcweb as an institution, and they were recommended as a result of their prior performance. Our team also put them through a rigorous RFP process with other vendors who could also deliver this project. In the end, we decided to go with Arcweb. 

How much have you invested with them?

We spent between $500,000–$1 million. 

What is the status of this engagement?

The project lasted from December 2019–June 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our workplace productivity increased 10X, which was a testament to the software’s functionality. More importantly, Arcweb listened to our proposed plan; they didn’t superimpose their own approach to the engagement. Instead, they brought creative ideas to the table and delivered key requirements on time and on budget. As a result, our group operationalized and moved the project forward easily through the end of the engagement. 

How did Arcweb Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

Arcweb’s project management was perfect, and the team was exceptional. In fact, I’d come to them to give additional work and asked them questions outside of their scope — they excelled in both of those instances. 

To communicate, we had a few conference meetings. We had video calls 3–4 times a week on top of email correspondence.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Arcweb was fully committed to our project. It didn’t seem like they were being pulled in 10 directions by 10 projects that weren’t mine. The team paid 100% of their time and attention to what we were doing. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

During our development sprints, we wanted to cover as much of our scope as we could while remaining within budget. We made some sacrifices during that time, and our communication was impacted in terms of how we’d handle our next steps. That aspect could have been improved. 

That being said, Arcweb did an excellent job in most respects. In fact, I wish I could engage them more often because a lot of our projects could benefit from the expertise they could bring to the table. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Spend time understanding what you want to achieve. Document what you hope your product will do and how it will impact stakeholders and participants. 

For context, our project was successful partly because we spent the better part of the year preparing internally for the engagement. There was a lot of known and documented scope, which removed plenty of downtime between conversations. As a result, when Arcweb had questions, we already had clean answers.

We needed someone to help us with custom software development for our internal and external shareholders.

Arcweb Technologies is helping us develop a custom software solution for the consulting service we’re building. This tool will help increase operational efficiency in creating compliance reports for employees as well as our clients, so they can implement compliance requirements on their own.

They were a referral from one of my IT partners.

So far, we’ve invested around $700,000.

The ongoing partnership started in March 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We measure the success based on their responsiveness and how fast they can implement the features that we ask for. It’s a fluid type of relationship where they’re helping us improve our software as we go along.

How did Arcweb Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

They perform well from a project management standpoint and we have transparent communications regarding our deliverables and timelines. They’re highly responsive and flexible to changes in requirements.

We have weekly project meetings and we typically communicate through email, phone, Slack, Zoom, and Skype.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We like that they fully understand the project and the challenges we face from a business perspective.

Are there any areas they could improve?

While they do manage the project for me, it would be great if there’s a little bit more visibility into the whole process, including the milestones, schedules, and timings.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

We have a very adaptive relationship with Archweb Technologies, so I would let them know that their team is flexible enough to go beyond the contract and initial scope.

We’re a company that works in the carbon offset market, and we help landowners and companies looking to buy carbon offsets to reduce their carbon footprint. I’m the director of digital platforms, and my role involves putting together public-facing digital web-based apps to allow prospective customers and landowners to get information and be able to participate in the carbon markets.

What challenge were you trying to address with Arcweb Technologies?

Our mission was to find out if we could develop a digital platform that would allow small landowners to access carbon markets. Historically, carbon markets have been reserved for large landowners, where a lot of cost and expense for carbon projects are required to get started, which makes it cost-prohibitive for landowners with smaller parcels to participate. As such, by making an easier process through technology, we can help landowners avoid some of the cost and time to start up their projects, especially landowners that have smaller amounts of forest cover.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The team was in charge of designing and developing our app. We explained the market to Arcweb Technologies and gave them an idea of certain projects for landowners. The idea was to look at the pain points there and understand how digitizing everything and bringing out a digital platform to the public could be possible.

In the end, we decided to use various satellite technologies and other geographical and geospatial environments, all of which a landowner needs to find their product or land. Using the tools could also support landowners in finding out how much forest was in a specific area and how much they could get paid without having to pay a bunch of lawyers and surveyors to figure things out. The team continues to work on our product.

What is the team composition?

We work with different teams, depending on our needs, usually 3–6 people. Their team includes senior architectural-related resources, QA resources, development resources, UX designer, project manager, and more.

How did you come to work with Arcweb Technologies?

We knew Arcweb Technologies through our company president. Our company president had a relationship within his network who was familiar with Arcweb Technologies. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent over $1 million.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in November 2019, and we continue to collaborate.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I can’t share any metrics because we’re not yet completely live. On top of that, the development efforts for this particular market require certain approvals of methods and approaches from certain governing bodies that we’re still working on outside the technology world and other business relationships. We’re still waiting for those things to be ready, but the platform’s pretty much ready.

Anecdotally, they’ve brought a tremendously applicable skill set to our needs. They’ve also brought energy, enthusiasm, and a very positive attitude at all times.

How did Arcweb Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve been very sensitive to our deadlines, and despite the fact that there are things happening outside of their control, they remain capable of hitting our target dates. Since they manage their time and resources very well, they stay ahead of all of our business constraints. Overall, we have a very collaborative relationship.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed that they always find creative ways to solve our challenges. They’re also trustworthy, and they come back to us with good work, so we have a very positive relationship.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, nothing comes to mind on areas they could improve. We’re definitely a happy customer and that’s the reason why we continue to engage with them.

Know what you want and how you want to execute your project. Let them structure an effective team because they're good at choosing the best resources to make sure your project is successful.

I am the Co-Founder and CEO of a Philadelphia based digital health company.

For what projects/services did your company hire Arcweb Technologies, and what were your goals?

We hired Arcweb to help us translate our business vision into a viable product. As a digital health company creating one of the first wellness and lifestyle apps for those living with migraine, Arcweb played a critical role in helping us take clinical expertise and convert it into customer friendly software. Arcweb helped us work through initial concepts, through customer journey mapping and eventually into design and proto-typing.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We were referred by a former Arcweb customer who spoke highly of their work. But, when visiting their offices, we were attracted to a project that Arcweb completed for a local children's hospital. While solving a different medical problem, the concepts and vision were similar, and we felt confident that Arcweb had the resources to help us navigate our product development.

Arcweb helped us create an interactive website, e-commerce destination and a mobile app. Most importantly, all three of these platforms work in unison to serve our target market. They worked with us from the earliest point and helped to take our broad vision and mission and turn it into increasingly specific renderings of a product.

We probably worked with 10 different people at Arcweb. That said, the project was well coordinated and each Arcweb team member brought unique skills and expertise. The people ranged from design to engineering with specialists in multiple areas.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The project was delivered in a reasonable time period despite multiple expansions of the project scope. Arcweb kept us well informed as to status worked with us throughout. Each step of the process is mutually verified and approved, so there were not material surprises.

Project management is a two way process. Arcweb's lead project manager utilized technology and various tools well to make sure that we were up-to-date on the project. I emphasize that it is a two way process because it requires active customer engagement to get the most out of the project.

Our company was proactive in working with the project manager to be involved and engaged at all aspects of the development process. I think this is critical to maintain strong communication and achieve desired outcomes.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They listened well. We provided them lots of information, homework and reading to help them understand the problems we were trying to solve. We invested heavily from the first meeting in trying to make each member of their team an expert in headache and migraine.

To their credit, they were receptive to this and listened. As a result, we saw our broad concepts and key focus points reflected throughout the end product.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

If I had to do it again, I might start with a smaller project and use it to test more actively with the target market. I think we had success in our end product, but I wonder how much better we could have done if we had allowed for a slower development timeline and created more opportunities for user feedback. That said, we did do some testing within an aggressive timeline, and Arcweb was good at integrating all feedback into the final product.

I am a serial entrepreneur who builds custom Fintech applications.

For what projects/services did your company hire Arcweb Technologies, and what were your goals?

We wanted to develop an analytics application for mobile devices. The challenge was providing a powerful but easy way for clients to access their critical analytics on the go. We had a very powerful web application that had millions of charts and graphs, complex filtering, and many customizations. Taking this application to a phone screen and providing the data in a super fast manner was a real challenge.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We has several vendors build prototypes and decided that Arcweb had the right level of understanding and skilled developers to execute on our strategy.

We had a series of discovery sessions to develop designs. The key deliverable was a set of charts and graphs that would update instantaneously and securely on IOS and Android devices. We used native IOS and Android platforms, several charting libraries, and restful Apis to deliver on the design.

The team was lead by a project manager. Over several years, the team was 2-5 resources based on our needs.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After much needed trial and error, there was no application that had delivered what we were trying to do, we created a very fast and powerful mobile analytics application for both Ios and Android.

The project manager held weekly scrum meetings with our development teams. The work we very collaborative and the project manager was adroit at keeping communications open and productive. The business manager was very responsive to our changing needs and budgets and worked with us to flex the development team.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their mobile application developers were excellent. Their ability to match several charting libraries with fast APIs was superb. They are eager to take on challenges.
