The app started off as just an idea. Appsketiers provided all the tools to deliver an outstanding application. They designed the format of the app (text, colors, layout). They coded the entire project which is the most difficult part of the application. The project was organized into three phases. Each phase was always completed in the said time frame. They kept me updated with every step of the process.

I was extremely pleased with the outcome of each phase of the project. Appsketiers delivered everything they promised and more. Once one part of the project was completed, Appsketiers would show me the finished piece. They also did not continue forward with any other part of the project  until I had approved it. They laid out the timelines honestly so I was able to keep track of progress.

Every phase was completed in the timeline that was promised. Appsketiers answered to my needs almost immediately. I never waited more than 30 minutes for a call back or response. They were on top of every aspect of my project.

I found it very impressive that they were always kind and respectful of my needs. It is hard to find a company in this day and age that remains on their A game from start to finish. I never once felt uncomfortable with my project in their hands. Their honesty and the skills they provide in regards to designing the app were impeccable. When I was presented my app, there were no big changes that needed to be made. I was so pleased with the final outcome. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something Appsketiers could have done differently?

No I thought the entire process went smoothly and efficiently.  They are very organized and structured.

The most impressive about Appsketiers is their company structure and process. I truly was impressed about having the one place for all the team members assigned to the various development steps to make it so easy to communicate with myself and have all steps unfold so seamlessly. They are very well-structured for efficiency and to keep you up to date on everything that is being worked on.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Appsketiers could have done differently?

The only thing I would suggest is to possibly have one last meeting with the manager/main contact as a sort of "close out" meeting instead of just sending over the information. I think your clients would benefit and appreciate this step, just as it was done in the begining to break down the steps that will happen sort of a "kick off" phone call, this would great to have to break down the steps as well for when the app has been completed.

We work to get a logo and user interface the spoke to my target audience, then Appsketiers made a demo video so we were on the same page for objectives, then Dylan and I came up with a design document that outlined what would be coded, then he coded it and we are putting on the finishing touches

My biggest uncertainty is how do I go from launch to having 1,000,000 users. I would love if Appsketiers could help me with this uncertainty. I don't know if they offer these services but other than that I feel as if i have been in good hands all along

“I’m currently in an ongoing app project with Appsketiers, and to be honest it has been one of the most difficult business relationships I’ve ever experienced. I started this project in July 2024, and instead of a branded, polished app, I was given something very generic and disappointing. The app is missing many components that were agreed on in the BRS, and I don’t have a usable app. The missing components include branding, a Stripe setup, an analytics page, Apple and Google Pay options, monetization, and a useful app dashboard.  One thing I wish I had known up front: all of their work is outsourced. At no point was I informed of this, and I think that’s something every buyer deserves to know. If you don’t want your project handled by third parties you’ve never met, this isn’t the company for you.   The owner, Nick, has also been condescending and hard to work with. Every step forward feels like pulling teeth.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

While the project is technically still in progress, I want to share this as a cautionary note to anyone considering working with them: buyer beware. Appsketiers hasn’t communicated with me aside from me making my scheduled payments on time. They said they would be quiet while they were busy working on my app, so I trusted them and let them work without bugging them. I was hoping to see some mock-ups along the way on what my app was looking like and how it was progressing, but all I ever got was "We are working on it, and these things take time."

Additionally, I was unaware that my app is not being handled in-house like I thought it was when I hired them; it is outsourced out of the country, so technically I have not talked to an actual person who is working on my app; Appsketiers misled me to believe they handle it in-house.

Their project management was extremely poor. Deadlines were consistently missed, communication was vague or dismissive, and they often shifted responsibility back onto me instead of addressing the problems directly. Deliverables were not provided on time, and when they were, the quality was subpar and far off from the brand standards I had clearly outlined. Overall, the process was disorganized, frustrating, and not transparent, leaving me with more problems to solve rather than real progress. My expected timeline was 4–6 months, but it’s been a year and a half. I was hoping to see some mock-ups along the way of what my app was looking like and how it was progressing, but all I’ve gotten is that they’re working on it and that these things take time. We communicate through Basecamp.

The only unique aspect I found was their ability to present themselves well during the sales process. They spoke confidently about their capabilities and seemed convincing at the start. Unfortunately, that professionalism didn’t carry through to execution or delivery. What stood out most was the gap between how they marketed themselves versus what was actually delivered.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Appsketiers could have done differently?

There are many areas where Appsketiers could improve. Transparency is the biggest one—being upfront about outsourcing and actual capabilities would have set clearer expectations. Stronger project management is also needed: meeting deadlines, documenting changes, and keeping the client updated on progress. Communication should be more solution-focused rather than defensive. Most importantly, they could benefit from listening to client needs instead of delivering generic, cookie-cutter products that don’t align with what was promised.

Appsketiers were given the idea of the app that we wanted developed and within a couple of months delivered a structrural layout of the app with graghical concepts. Given approval, the development of the app proceeded along with the creation of an advertisment within the first six months. Full completion of the app was finished and launched within two years after the layout.

Appsketiers was completely hands-on, interacting regularly with us during the app's development stages with constant input from the client. This resulted in A+ communication combined with flexibility on behalf of the client.

The consistant interaction and suggested input from the client on the development of the app is what we found to be very impressive to us.

There is nothing that we could think of that Appsketiers could have done better on the develoment of this project. We are highly satisfied and very thankful with the completion of this product.

They delivered nothing, the company had no knowledge of what they built. So this is hard to describe, they did however offered, an app that would be used by consumers to unite businesses, but they did not deliver anything that was functional.

When we began the work, they delivered on understanding the project, were Appsketiers seems to demonstrate a skill that makes the customer feel comfortable, thaw work on the other hand speaks volumes.

The owner would call if you did not approve the project, saying statements that signing the approve phase did not mean that I agree with the work, that signing would move the project to the next level and the next phase would cover all the issues. This turn to be a lie.

The progress was to move the project as quickly as possible whether issues were still there or not. The progress is set for appsketier and not the client.

The project was delivered even though it continued to have issues of crashing and app was not functioning.

The team continued to blame the client and seemed to distant themselves slowly from the project and made sure that all the issues fell after the 60 days so you could not rebuttal.

They don't respond to your needs and make you feel that you're a problem. They have no idea why the app is crashing or what they built. It's all smoke and mirrors.

The owner sounded very confident, and charismatic, trust worthy by being skilled while influencing his expert reviews, etc.

This is the only part that he excels in, but uses this as his advantage.

Stop building Apps, and stop  telling customers to do a review in the first phase. Even Trust Pilot has concerns about his orchestrated reviews.

Appsketiers took my idea and made it into a reality. After a few quick consultations, they helped me hone in on a feasible scope for the project. After they came up with an animated marketing promo and then it was on to development. 

A few months later they returned with a beta presentation for the functionality and use of the app. I couldn't have been more impressed. It was visually appealing, functional, and most important, easy to navigate. And throughout the entire process the team, who I met a significant number of, were transparent, helpful, and patient. I would recommend their services to anyone who has an app idea that they are trying to create.

The goal of this application is to provide a platform where HBCU students can network with each other and access useful event/job/internship information. 

• App flow and design Screens   
  • Splash: display the splash screen when users download and open the application.
  • Login: The screen allows the user to log in via. Email and Password. If the user forgot the password, they can click on the “Forgot password” and enter the registered email ID. A verification code will be sent to their email to retrieve the password. 
  • Sign Up: The user will be able to sign up using their email, and password and re-enter the password.
  • Enter the Verification code: This screen allows the users to enter the 4-digit OTP (that they have received over their email), and password, and confirm the password that they have received over their email.
  • Resend button: It will allow the users to Resend the OTP in case they have not received the OTP. 
  • Create Profile with Upload School Id: This screen allows the user to create their profile by uploading the below details
    • Upload a Photo: The user will be able to upload a photo for their profile picture.
    • Birthdate: The user will be able to select their birthday from the date picker.
    • Gender: The user will be able to select their Gender.
    • Select School: The user will be able to select their school name from the database uploaded from the backend.

The entire team is amazing. I have great chemistry with the entire team. They always delivered on time.  And if there was a delay they communicated that. They are really a great group to work with.  I couldn't imagine doing this withoug them.

Not really. Except they could probably beef up their marketing so more people know about them...but that all depends on how big they want to get.

I had a clear understanding of the mechanics and logic of my app.  I provided the mapping as a framework, but it was only the start.  Appsketiers in gaining a complete understanding of my app asked questions and patiently understood my process and objective of my app, designed the branding and visuals.  
Appsketiers patiently worked with me through the layout and logic of my app and coded and developed my app into a functioning platform.  Appsketiers were especially patient with me through the beta testing stage.  I never felt pressured or minimized through the process toward app development and completion.  100% recommend for app development!

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The representatives provided accurate timetables from the very start.  With the timetables, I had realistic expectations of the  process and was not disappointed.  The process followed the timetable very closely.  Delivery of quality product on time with great service is the only measurable outcome I care about.

The project management is multilayered with a general manager that delegates to submanagers as the project progresses.  All managers are very easy to work with and meet needs very well if at all possible.  They did not miss a deadline within the timetable and were always read to meet needs if at all possible.  I had a great experience with the managers at all levels and continue to enjoy a great experience with their level of service.

The well rounded comprehensive service is outstanding!  The project management is very good.  The development and coding is excellent.  The concept development and mapping is impressive.  Appsketiers did all things app development well.

More constant, frequent updates during development would have been nice, though not necessary.  The project managers said they will be on the quiet side during development.  I had fair notice. When they say they will be quiet for a few months of development, they do mean it.

They created an app from the ground up and kept us in the loop throughout the process, updating us as needed.

They answered questions, concerns and emails quickly. The app took a lot longer than expected, but there were so many variables they had to work with especially since the app will be in Tonga, where such apps don't exist yet and payments are a little more challenging.

The folks over at Appsketiers were super down-to-earth and friendly, but professional. They answered all concerns and questions within a short period of time. They did a lot of research to create the best app and look for the app. They took in all considerations and listened to what we wanted. They walked us through all the necessary steps and helped whenever we needed to get them the information they needed in order to create the app. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something Appsketiers could have done differently?

We were initially told the app would take around 8 months to a year to make, it did take longer, but honestly, it all worked out and the app looks great and is easy to use.
