BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the CEO of a start-up company and we develop cloud based software application for industrial digital twin applications.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire APM Software, and what were your goals?

We needed a software prototype implementation which had certain features. A former prototype was written in Flutter but we needed to re-implement the software to React because of some functionality reasons. For this project APM Software was hired.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We had an initial meeting with APM Software and based on the former projects they showcased us it was clear that they were capable of implementing such a prototype with the specifications we communicated. APM was also very fast to do some quick implementations to convince us that they can deliver within the given time frame.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

Scope: Dashboard in React and additional packages to have the possibility to show animations controlled by real-time data which is obtained via an application programming interface from third vendors.

Steps:

1. Analyse existing Flutter implementation
2. Re-implementation of Flutter dashboard to React
3. Animation implementation
4. API connection
5. Real-time data control of animation with incoming data
6. Dashboard layout and device independent.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We worked with one responsible person from APM Software.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

All deliverables as described above were successfully accomplished, and we are very satisfied with the results.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Regular Online meetings and regular updates via a messaging system were enough for this kind of project to manage it.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

That all tasks could be delivered and APM Software found right implementation concept for each task after communication loops with us.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

For a new company like APM Software this was better and a more simple process to manage a prototype implementation than with other more mature companies we have been in contact before.
