Prove is a technology company that helps validate and establish trust between consumers and businesses such as big banks, retailers, insurance companies, and whatnot. That trust is particularly important when the consumer is interacting with mobile devices. In my role, I run the engineering organization and technical operations.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Antologic?

We were looking to find a technical partner that could grow with us as our customer demands scaled up and down. Not only is that from a day-to-day development perspective, but also from a staff augmentation point of view in case we needed to spin up to a larger team to tackle a project.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement? 

We had some strategic technology initiatives that required a broad knowledge of some of the specialized systems that we’d built ourselves. That meant putting our in-house experts on those projects so that they could work on building new pieces of software inside our organization.

However, we still needed to complete our day-to-day product work because it drives our revenue. By adding Antologic into our staff as members of our existing engineering team, we’ve been able to tackle those strategic initiatives while letting them manage our day-to-day development. 

We’re still growing and haven’t ramped back down yet. We’ve always wanted to find a long-term partner, so this has been an evaluation period for us. Things have been working out very well, so far.

What is the team composition? 

Originally, we brought in four people, including a team lead and three senior engineers. We’ve since expanded to six engineers who work on various efforts within our organizations. One of them involves driving the technical leadership around test automation

How did you come to work with Antologic?

Someone within my network had used Antologic before and recommended them to me. So, I went out to Poland to meet with their team lead and better understand their company. 

We had a long conversation while I was out there, and what stood out to me the most was how they treated their employees. They ran a program that focused on fostering growth opportunities for their employees. 

I also appreciated that their philosophy on software development is aligned with ours. They’ve been a constant advocate for healthy team dynamics, which is critical when running a staff augmentation company.

We’ve worked with them since December 2019.

I am a project manager at a company that is developing a platform for next-generation sequencing data analysis. We analyze genomic data and provide reports about what is included in someone’s DNA.

What challenge were you trying to address with Antologic?

We developed an engine, but we needed to develop an interface and a platform that would be visible for our clients. We do have our software guys internally, but we needed skilled and more experienced developers to support us.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They supported us in backend and frontend development. The first step was to examine what we had developed so far. They provided us with feedback about our engine and backend infrastructure. They started by improving what we had developed so far; from there, for the next two months, their team and our team were developing the extra functionalities.

Among others, we worked with AWS, Java, Vuetify.js, Cromwell technologies.

What is the team composition?

We work with one backend developer and one frontend developer.

How did you come to work with Antologic?

It was word of mouth. Our friend told us they are reliable, and they provide value for money.

How much have you invested in them?

We have spent more than $25,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started the relationship in June 2020, and the development is ongoing. We are already in talks with them to work with the two developers again in October or November when we have received feedback after this version.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I am totally satisfied with the quality they have provided, and it was more than we expected. They are very experienced and figured out every program we have.

How did Antologic perform from a project management standpoint?

We used Jira for project management. They met every deadline, and they were 90% part of our team. They actually introduced themselves very well and were treated as part of the time and communication with them was the same as it is with the other employees of our company. They even gave us some hints about how to develop the software better from a process perspective.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I am not a software guy, but friends of mine have told me the quality of their work is really good. I really appreciate that they are proactive. They weren’t passive and didn’t wait for what needs to be done. They let us know what they felt should be done, and sometimes their ideas were very good.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I don’t think there were any issues. One of the developers went on holiday, but that is normal and it was the only time that we needed to adapt. It was only four days and it was totally understandable.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Go for it. I have already recommended them to other companies. My advice would be to go and work with them.

We needed a data exchange platform built.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They built a platform for us. It allows data to be taken from our accounting system and put into reports and graphs. There’s also the ability to share documents with our clients, and more. 

How much have you invested with them?

The total cost of the project was around $450,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from April 2014–June 2015.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The quality was very high, and they worked without delays in the schedule. Our clients have been very satisfied, and so are we.

How did Antologic perform from a project management standpoint?

They did a good job. My employee communicated directly with their dedicated project manager. Communication was good, and deadlines were met.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They know their job; they’re specialists that do quality work.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I really don't have any complaints.

I’m the CEO of Hotel Services 24, an event booking agency.

What challenge were you trying to address with Antologic?

We needed help with building our booking engine.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They developed our web booking engine. We use it for booking rooms and creating an agenda for events. It started out as a small project and has grown bigger every year. They developed a mobile app for customers as well.

What is the team composition?

I was in contact with the CEO and the project manager. I don’t know how many were behind the scenes.

How did you come to work with Antologic?

When I started my own business, my friend told me his brother had an IT software company–Antologic.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around €50,000 (approximately $54,200 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in January 2014, and the work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Since 2017, there have been 1,000-2,000 bookings. The quality of their work is good. We didn’t have any problems. Any bugs were handled very quickly and smoothly. They gave us a solution suitable for my company, and I’m very satisfied. 

How did Antologic perform from a project management standpoint?

The cooperation is smooth.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They worked to understand your way of doing business. In the beginning, they ask lots of questions to understand. This was different from other companies that tried to give us a solution that wasn’t specific to our business.

No.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

The CEO tries to understand his customers. Ask all questions that you have. They try to understand you, so be prepared to be asked a lot of questions by them.

I’m the IT manager of Fresenius Kabi Poland.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Antologic?

We were moving from IBM Domino to Office365, and one of the challenges was migrating the system for tender management from Domino to another platform.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We ultimately built a new system for tender management out of Domino. We’ve been working on that system till today. We first discussed the project scope, timeline, and finances with them. They now create new functionalities for the system when we need it.

What is the team composition?

We initially had a project manager and 4–6 developers working on it. I’d say there have been seven people in total working from Antologic’s side.

How did you come to work with Antologic?

We contacted multiple companies, and we chose Antologic because the project manager on their side already knew our company a bit. The timeline was really challenging, and they accepted that. Other than that, their price was really good compared to the other companies’. The scope, timeline, and cost were good, so we decided to work with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Antologic in March 2017, and we continue to develop the system with them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The best metric is that, before introducing the new system, the tender team was about to expand a bit. After introducing the system, we’ve kept the same headcount. The new system is quicker and handier than the old one.

How did Antologic perform from a project management standpoint?

We were time-pressured so we prepared a detailed timeline at the start of the project. We divided the project into eight milestones, with a deadline for each milestone. They met the deadlines, so it was good.

What did you find most impressive about them?

It’s their business-specific knowledge. This is probably because we’d worked with their project manager before. Antologic knew us and the business specifics of our work, so it was really easy for their team to translate the business needs into technical specifications.

I come from the IT world, and it was important that the developers maintain good contact with me. If they had any issues or had two options to choose from, they always consulted with me.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It was a good project, performed in a model way, but there were some problems in the beginning. If I had to mention something, it would be for them to look over the system more just after its launch. We had 1–2 situations that could’ve had quicker responses. Overall, it’s been really good, though.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

I would recommend Antologic, and I’m really glad to be working with them. I’d suggest that clients talk to them a lot, and prepare themselves. There are a lot of questions that are important for process building. Clients should be prepared and know what they want to have.

I’m the CIO of OPO Oeschger. We are one of the leading furniture fitting companies in Switzerland.

What challenge were you trying to address with Antologic?

We were looking to refresh our e-commerce platform, so we needed a development partner.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They were involved in the whole development process. This included writing technical specifications and developing them. They tested based on the acceptance criteria we defined. Automated QA testing was performed. Their team also advised us on architectural technical solutions.

What is the team composition?

The team has changed over the course of the engagement. We work with five or six people, including developers, Scrum Masters, and testers.

How did you come to work with Antologic?

They actually started as a subcontractor for a different company we had hired.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working on the project in March 2012. It is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Prior to the new platform they developed, about 40% of revenue was through e-commerce. Now, revenue is currently around 70%. It’s pretty amazing.

How did Antologic perform from a project management standpoint?

The developers work under a project manager from another company. They deliver on time and communicate proactively. I have a good connection with them and they work overtime as needed. We communicate via Microsoft Teams and Slack for chats and video calls. We also have daily stand-ups, working on Scrum. It’s pretty smooth.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The team works well with us. Unlike different companies we’ve experienced, they communicate well when they need to remove team members, and even ask our permission to change teams. They’re stable and committed to us. It feels like they’re part of our company.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there’s nothing I can see.

Discuss the project. Ensure they onboard the right people with the right skills for the project.

I’m the CEO of NoLimitMedia. We’re working on a CRM system.

What challenge were you trying to address with Antologic?

We were looking for a CRM to improve our business process.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Antologic developed our CRM using Java, MongoDB, and other technologies. It helps monitor our business processes, customers, and sales appointments. Antologic helped us create both the front- and backend of the system. They integrated a payment gateway and security components. They also helped us with a web application.

What is the team composition?

Their team consisted of around six experts, depending on the stage of development: two backend developers, one React frontend developer, a UI/UX designer, a QA engineer, and a project manager.

How did you come to work with Antologic?

One of our partners recommended them. We were looking for a team with good experience in CRM systems development.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent more than $120,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Antologic more than eight months ago, and it’s ongoing. They’re developing microservices for us.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The project manager was highly professional with the balance between quality and speed and successfully applied scrum management technology to our project. The development team decomposed technical assignments into smaller tasks. Everything was good. They’re very experienced, I appreciate their work, and I’m glad to work with them. I’m very satisfied.

How did Antologic perform from a project management standpoint?

Antologic clearly takes care of their customers. They do everything possible and provide quality services. I don’t remember an instance of them not delivering on time. I’m glad to work with them. I communicated with them via Skype and different freelancing platforms. They always answered my questions, either in chats or via calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Every part of the development was great. They worked hard and showed professional qualities.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Everything was great.

I’d recommend them to my friends if they needed a CRM system or something else.

I’m the co-owner of Sense Consulting, a consulting company. We tailor our services to entrepreneurs in the small–medium-enterprise sector.

What challenge were you trying to address with Antologic?

We conduct trainings, and we were looking for a software house that could create and prepare a system to collect the data of participants.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Antologic developed our data collection platform in Polish. They built it from the ground up.

What is the team composition?

We interacted with a project manager.

How did you come to work with Antologic?

We were preparing this system with co-financings from a grant, so we had to do a tender. We contacted other software houses. Antologic met with us, described how they worked, how they’d like to cooperate with us, and what they would need from us; it was completely clear and understandable. Then, they sent us an offer, and it was the best one we received. It wasn’t the cheapest one, but it was professional, and they proved that they had experience preparing systems similar to ours. They provided essential information that helped us to choose them and feel comfortable with them. I felt they understood what I was talking about and what I needed.

How much have you invested with them?

My company spent €50,000 (approximately $55,750 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from April–October 2014.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We were so delighted with the cooperation with them that we’ve recommended them to other companies. Antologic was very professional. They properly prepared the tender and included the right criteria, which is uncommon in the industry. All of the feedback we’ve received has been positive.

How did Antologic perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management was very good. We were in contact daily with the project manager through email and phone. They prepared a schedule for the project and divided it into sprints that lasted 2–4 weeks. After each sprint, we received information about the work that they did. 

Antologic also prepared prototypes and screens that we could see. We weren’t just informed that their work was in progress; they always had something to show us. We had full access to all of the information, and we finished the project according to schedule. There were no delays or problems.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re not specialists in IT; this system was our first investment of its kind, and we weren’t prepared to talk to professional developers and programmers. Our project manager explained everything to us in an easy way. They translated the developers’ language in such a way that we could understand everything.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there’s nothing they could improve. They were on time, able to explain everything, and prepared the best offer in terms of the criteria we use.

Know what you need, and be ready for the cooperation.
