I’m the fiduciary and financial advisor at Clarissa Mae Fleming Financial. 

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Andrilla?

I engaged Andrilla for their web development and design services. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We initially discussed the website requirements and what I could and couldn’t put on the website. Andrilla brainstormed ideas with us, and one of the things we came up with was the profile video — this was the primary focus of my website. 

Moving on, we implemented a program called Meet Our Partners. This campaign listed a good number of financial firms that worked with us. There was also a story branding book that helped us build credibility for our company. 

From there, we brainstormed how many steps the users should take to keep them looking at our website and how many steps would make them go away. It was a balancing act. On top of that, Andrilla helped us optimize our website for search engines and let me test the website. 

At present, I continue to work with Andrilla. They provide hosting and maintenance for us. For example, I’ve got new headshots recently, and we’re going to revamp the background images on the website using those headshots. They’ll help me with this, and everything will be included in the cost of our engagement. 

For features and functionality, the website allows end users to watch videos — there are three videos on it — and schedule a meeting with us when they want to move on to the next step. The videos talk about basic financial concepts; one talks about me as a financial advisor.

What is the team composition?

I have one main point of contact, but other people work behind the scenes with him. 

How did you come to work with Andrilla?

They were a referral. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested around $500 for the website. I pay $45 per month for maintenance. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in February 2020, and the engagement is ongoing. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’ve experienced a 20% jump in site traffic and conversion, but we’ve only been doing this for two months. Meanwhile, love the website’s design. It’s clean and functional both on desktop and mobile devices. Moreover, I love that we can easily edit something on the website. I simply contact them, and they take care of my edit request.

How did Andrilla perform from a project management standpoint?

We’re perfectly on budget; there haven’t been any extra costs. Andrilla uses a design tool that shows me the designs they’re doing and allows me to comment if I want to change something. To communicate, we use Zoom. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I like that they’re willing to work with my concepts while also telling me what they think is the best for my market demographic. In other words, they don’t just say yes to what I say. They give me their input even if it conflicts with what I’m saying. I’ve got the final say on everything, but they tell me if they know a better way of doing something. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren’t any. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If Andrilla provides you with a tool, use it. It won’t do you any good if you don’t use it. For context, I missed an appointment with them because I wasn’t keeping track of our calendar.
