I’m head of development at BTC Markets, a cryptocurrency exchange platform.

What challenge were you trying to address with Alyoop?

We needed to redesign and rebuild our marketing strategy for our platform and mobile application.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Alyoop has helped us with different projects, including branding, web design, and UI/UX design for our mobile app. For the branding project, we initially had a workshop with Alyoop’s team, where we explained our company and customers. From there, Alyoop proposed the project’s process and presented three design options for branding and color schemes. 

They’ve designed our logo, business cards, and branding guidelines. Alyoop has also created marketing materials like letterheads, billboards, and email marketing campaigns.

Then, we moved to the website’s design and had a similar process. We had a kickoff session with Alyoop, where we discussed the design requirements, wireframes, and content design. Alyoop delivered high-fidelity designs and iterated them until they came up with the right design based on our branding. 

Alyoop has used Figma for design and Framer Motion and Lottie for animations. They’ve also used another tool for user testing.

Lastly, Alyoop has designed our Android and iOS mobile apps. They’ve created the wireframes, designed the UI/UX, and built the design system following our branding guidelines. We’ve developed the site and mobile app in-house.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with two teammates from Alyoop: a lead designer, who takes the meetings and sets out the work, and another designer.

How did you come to work with Alyoop?

I had worked with Alyoop before on another business. I originally found them on Google and contacted them again because they’re based in Melbourne, as I am, and we can work face-to-face.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested around $300,000–$500,000 AUD (approximately $200,000 –$400,000 USD) with Alyoop.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Alyoop in January 2020, and our partnership is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Alyoop’s web design has helped us with our marketing and increased our customer retention. Our brand awareness has also increased massively, our site looks modern, and Alyoop has unified our design, which has definitely increased our customer numbers.

How did Alyoop perform from a project management standpoint?

Alyoop meets deadlines and always goes above and beyond to get the work done when we need it. We’ve never had any delays or issues with their work quality. 

As for tools, we use Jira and Confluence for project management and Slack for communication. We also have catch-ups with Alyoop’s design team every two weeks to discuss the progress of our projects. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m most impressed with Alyoop’s agility; they work quickly. Alyoop has a small team, and the quality of their work is excellent for their price. I’ve worked with more expensive companies, and Alyoop’s work quality is the same.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything for Alyoop to improve.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I recommend being clear about the project’s requirements from the start. You need to have the project’s documentation ready to go so that Alyoop can execute quickly.
