ClaimAluminum Manufacturer in France
Located in the north of France, the Dunkirk aluminum plant was founded in 1991 by the Pechiney Group. It is the largest primary aluminum foundry in Europe. It specializes in the manufacture of aluminum plates and ingots with a purity greater than 99% for value-added applications in transportation, automotive, aerospace, packaging, building, and construction. Aluminum Dunkerque is the last major aluminum plant project developed on French territory. The choice of site is explained by the proximity of the deep-water port and the proximity of the Gravelines nuclear power plant, capable of meeting the plant's electrical energy needs. Aluminum Dunkerque has regularly invested to optimize its technology and has thus increased its production capacity by more than 40% since its start-up. The plant aims to become a center of excellence dedicated to aluminium. It positions itself as a world leader in sustainable and carbon-neutral aluminum at the service of its customers and its community.
