BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I work as the strategic communications and media specialist at the Higher College of Technology (HCT). We’re a prominent higher education institute in the UAE. We’re basically owned by the federal government of the UAE. We’re a pretty big organization with about 16 campuses all across the country in almost all the Emirates for men and women.

They’re working as a PR and media agency for us.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Alsayegh Media provides us with services that encompass a blanket agreement. We also request whatever service we require. They handle creative support in terms of graphic design and creative designs. Their team also manages editorial support in terms of copywriting and translations. Additionally, they provide event management support if needed. Alsayegh Media helps us with media buying as well.

What is the team composition?

I’ve been interacting with five people but they have a bigger team behind the scenes. We have a project manager, account manager, and business development lead.

How did you come to work with Alsayegh Media?

We have government regulations when it comes to procurement. We float a tender out and look for the best options. We provide an RFP and then companies bid for it. We go back and forth with questions and answers and then they clarify if someone has any comments or concerns. After the process, the technical committee selects the organization to be the best fit. Eventually, that moves onto commercial. Following that, we select an organization.

We selected them because they had the most creative proposition. We had requested some creativity samples and a proposition of how they’d help our brand. We have a legacy of over 30 years and wanted to see how that could be connected to the futuristic ambitions we have. They were the best in terms of creativity, approach, and the message that we wanted to be delivered. It was an overall easy choice to make.

How much have you invested in them?

So far, we’ve spent about $100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with them about 5–6 months ago, and the engagement is still ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

As an organization, we’re pretty satisfied with their work. It is more creative input that they’ve given us and that’s always subjective.

How did Alsayegh Media perform from a project management standpoint?

We’ve mostly engaged them for smaller projects that don’t require project management tools to be involved. It’s basic design assistance or management in terms of personal support or a PR release so it doesn’t involve a lot of project management.

They have been very prompt when it comes to responsiveness and meeting their service-level requirements and quality product. They’re very good at what they do and are one of the best agencies here.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What makes them stand out is their creativity, outside-the-box thinking, market presence, and understanding of how this local market works in terms of media and PR.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, nothing comes to mind. They’re a good organization.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If a business is looking to engage someone who’s very creative, sharp, and agile, look no further. They’re reactive to instructions that are provided and you don’t have to go back and forth with them trying to convey your brief. Their team will deliver a very wholesome result and good value for money. Alsayegh is one of the best options we have in Dubai.
