I’m a co-founder and CTO of Ponera Group. We are a startup in the field of logistics.

What challenge were you trying to address with Alpine Intuition?

We were building our solution and needed someone to develop custom software for us.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Alpine Intuition developed the platform and did a visualization of the data. The platform is for asset tracking and has IoT answers and data that we can use for data mining.

They also created communication between IoT (Internet of Things) hardware and servers, and do data management on the servers.

What is the team composition?

Florin (Founder & CTO) is my point of contact, and acting project manager. He oversees anyone on their team who works on the project.

How did you come to work with Alpine Intuition?

We considered several companies. I knew of this team through some of my contacts. They have a lot of expertise in data mining, AI services, IoT software, and more. We also really liked the quality of their work, had good feedback about them and liked the pricing.

How much have you invested with them?

€12,000 (approximately $15,000) was the cost for the first part of the project. We have a contract for roughly €60,000 (approximately $72,000) this year.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together around September 2020, and it’s ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They met the KPIs we set out for the project so far. Currently, we are doing testing on our side. We are satisfied with what we’ve seen from Apline Intuition and the fast, flexible pace at which they work.

How did Alpine Intuition perform from a project management standpoint?

They do a good job at managing the project. They’re accessible, responsive, and flexible. Communication is also quite good.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their level of expertise and their communication skills stood out to us. They are quick to respond to any requests and to accommodate their clients’ needs.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’m not sure; I think they could do a bit more marketing.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be as prepared as possible, and be transparent with them about what you want and need. Sit together to define some aspects of the project, since they’re the experts.

For what projects/services did your company hire Alpine Intuition, and what were your goals?

We hired Alpine Intuition to develop the first PoC of a new image segmentation algorithm based on deep learning, for the analysis of the pictures generated by our laboratory devices.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Deciding factors were their expertise and professionalism, as well as their availability to understand in depth our problem and come up together with innovative solutions.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We had direct access to the whole team at the time of the project (3 people). We really appreciated this.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Results were impressive: the algorithm developed by Alpine Intuition improved our overall image analysis accuracy by at least 20%.

Project management was impeccable and communications very easy. The team created a very professional yet super-friendly working environment.

Their world-class knowledge and cutting-edge expertise in the software development field were required by our project.

No. The project was perfect as it was handled and executed.
