I am a manager for an energy company.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with AllCloud?

We had previously worked with AllCloud on integrating a billing management platform for our company, and we wanted to make sure that all of our customer engagements and events within that platform were tracked in our Salesforce instance. 

We needed them to make the connections and integrations between those two products.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our company purchased the software, and AllCloud has been responsible for the integration and connecting of our billing platform to the Salesforce CRM tool. They are responsible for all testing and release management of those products.

AllCloud has been working on optimizations for our retail flows, and they are in the process of building a sales app for us.

They normally have their technical teams assign project managers that meet with our customer care team and marketing groups. They do requirement gatherings for us and then scope out the total project. They write out Jira tickets for their individual developers, and then meet with our leadership team and pitch the proposed designs and features they are going to deliver. 

They handle everything for us, from development to testing and validation, and then they meet with stakeholders and host demos to gather feedback for their testing to address any concerns. 

What is the team composition?

We work with a team of two technical project managers and two developers. 

How did you come to work with AllCloud?

We interviewed a few different companies when we were looking to integrate our billing platform. AllCloud provided us with technical product managers, and they worked through the solution of how they would integrate the two products for us. 

They gave us resumes for other projects they had done that were similar to ours, and we looked through those and were happy with what we saw. 

They started doing the work in terms of scoping and what we needed in order for their developers to execute, and then we agreed on a price and started working together. 

How much have you invested with them?

We spend between $100,000–$250,000 with them each year. Overall, we have spent more than $500,000 with AllCloud. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We originally started working with them in March 2021 for our billing platform, but we have continued to work with them on new projects involving the Salesforce platform. Our work with AllCloud is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

AllCloud's integration work on the billing platform allowed us to cut out a total of one engineer's time for every sprint. So we are saving one engineer's salary because of the integrations they did with the billing platform. 

The retail optimizations that they have done for us save us eight hours a week of manual effort. 

The app hasn't launched yet, but they are predicting that it will increase our sales by 10%. 

How did AllCloud perform from a project management standpoint?

They do a great job in terms of timeliness, visibility, and transparency. We have a shared Slack channel they are constantly communicating through, and we meet with them weekly. For anything that is urgent, they always contact us right away. 

For the most part, we communicate through Slack, Zoom, and email. They use Lucidchart and Miro for object modeling, and Jira for project management. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They are able to operate very independently. We give them high-level project goals, and they always do everything that we ask of them. They handle everything within a project from inception to delivery. 

They are incredibly reliable and dedicated to seeing the project through the whole way. They aren't afraid of complex challenges that are placed in front of them, and they deliver on those challenges with very little direction. 

They are flexible and transparent about timelines, and they always deliver high-quality code. It's very good value for what we pay. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

They have a decent amount of employee turnover, which means that we've gone through a few different project managers. We don't feel like we're losing anything in the transition, but it is somewhat awkward to have to change your project manager. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If you are looking for Salesforce integration, you should work with them because they're incredible with that platform.
