Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

We're the company behind a specialty-coffee roastery with three shops in Zürich and one in Basel. We hired Alkeme Design to build the brand from the ground up, not just a logo but a whole world.

Working directly with Ovidiu, the scope covered our full brand system. Key deliverables included: 

- Brand concept and story 

 - Logo and visual identity

 - A custom mascot, the panda roaster, and the orange-planet universe around it 

 - Packaging for our pouches, bags and delivery boxes, prepared print-ready for production 

 - Custom mug and merch (t-shirt) design 

 - In-store and street collateral: pavement sign, posters, loyalty cards, sticker set 

 - A trade-show stand for World of Coffee

 - A custom, animated website 

 - An Instagram grid system and seasonal social campaigns

 Everything was tied together as one storytelling world, so the brand stays consistent from the coffee pouch to the mug to the café sign to the feed.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Since the rebrand, the business has kept growing. We're opening another café in Basel, on top of our three in Zürich and the one already there, and the brand system Alkeme Design built rolls straight onto each new location without starting from scratch. 

The local coffee community in Zürich has really taken to the brand. People connect with our mascot and the whole world around it, which is exactly the kind of recognition and following we were after, not just selling a bag of coffee but building something people root for. 

We've also been invited to coffee fairs and industry events. The trade-show stand Ovidiu designed for World of Coffee lets us show up looking like an established brand, which has helped open doors in the specialty-coffee scene.

Overall, the biggest win is consistency and recognition: from the coffee pouch to the pavement sign to the website, everything reads as one brand.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Super fast and professional. The packaging company was pushing me for the box designs, and Alkeme Design took care of everything. They checked every detail and caught mistakes in the packaging that would have cost me money. They didn't just respect the timeline, they delivered a full month ahead of it. Ovidiu also kept the communication with the supplier directly, so I never had to be the "postman" in between.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What stood out most is that Alkeme Design didn't just design a logo, they built a whole world around our brand. Most studios hand you a mark and a color palette. Ovidiu gave us our panda roaster and a full orange-planet universe with a story behind it, so everything from the coffee pouch to the mug to the café sign to the Instagram feed feels like one thing. That's a big reason the community in Zürich connected with it.

The other rare thing was how much they took off my plate. They dealt with the packaging supplier directly, caught mistakes before they cost me money, and still delivered ahead of schedule. A creative studio that's also this reliable is hard to find. Honestly, they're a little crazy, in the best way.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Alkeme Design could have done differently?

Honestly, they exceeded my expectations, so what are we even talking about? If I had to name one thing, it's that they're a small studio in high demand, so I just wanted even more of their time on our projects.
