We needed to understand the external market for a new area which we were exploring for innovation - what started as a business case, number crunching excercise, turned into real  strategic work to understand the link between the innovation space and our market - crafting a framework and narrative to secure internal focus and resources, with strong external benchmarks to help us do it.
