ALE Consultants is a consulting and development company. Since 2004 we have worked with many industries. Our team has expertise in Emerson/NI tools such as LabVIEW, LabVIEW FPGA, TestStand, DIAdem, and LabWindows/CVI. We have experience using test and measurement hardware from many vendors.
We apply Systems Engineering and in some cases Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques to our projects.
Software Engineering tools and techniques are part of our workflow. This includes source code control, document management, issue/bug tracking, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).
Our primary focus is on our customer needs. Gathering and understanding requirements can often be the most difficult part of a project.
We are always mindful of technical risks. When identified, we provide a risk mitigation plan.
Emphasis on design and thinking things through before writing code is essential. This phase is important even with high level, graphical tools such as LabVIEW and LabVIEW FPGA.
Terry Stratoudakis, one of the co-founders of ALE Consultants, is the author of the book Introduction to LabVIEW FPGA for RF, Radar, and Electronic Warfare Applications.
