VERO went through a business transformation and got rebranded. We've already had new positioning and Brand Platform as a one-stop agency: the Visual, Commercial & Digital Accelerator for Real-Estate in development. We came to AIDA for developing a detailed guide for brands’ presence and communication in digital including web design, LinkedIn, and Instagram guides. AIDA expanded and implemented the existing brand identity. 

The result of their work was a practical visual tool of VERO social media design with explanations and examples of the content including all types of posts – static, 360 images, animation, reels, stories, etc. They also created an advertising campaign for the rebranding launch. The idea was to highlight the wow effect of VERO cases and to demonstrate the key expertise of the team. The deliverables include a series of key visuals and the video.

We were looking to introduce a new flavored beer brand through creative advertising.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our company specifically needed an ethical yet creative campaign that complied with our government's stringent guidelines in advertising alcoholic beverages. We initially showed our project brief to AIDA Pioneer, and they helped our team develop branding and advertising strategies for our new product.

After the brainstorming phase, we decided to use their team's idea of introducing a new artist in our country with the same name as our beverage brand. Our branding materials centered on the artist's fictional character, and AIDA Pioneer created social media pages and content using the character's brand identity. Once they set up the profiles and launched the introductory ads, AIDA Pioneer then deployed our entire marketing campaign via Instagram, Tiktok, and YouTube.

We chose a variant of one of the most famous songs of the generation of the 1990s. The main characters were coconuts. The coconuts sang a song. The advertising was bright, noticeable and at that time it was simple and understandable.

We wouldn't work with them for 4 years if they worked bad. But we are together still now. So, they manage our projects well.

Our company has a kids’ clothing brand which we’ve had for a long time but have not marketed in the past two years. To renew the information around this brand, we sought Aida Pioneer Group’s help for an advertising campaign. We turned to Aida Pioneer Group to help us rearrange our relationship with our customers.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our most recent advertising campaign centered around a childrens’ school uniform. Aida Pioneer Group drove the effort to ensure that our seasonal collection would be sold out across our entire retail network which covers 58 cities in Russia. The team also refreshed the image around this collection of clothing, presenting our brand as the best producer of kids’ apparel. 

We also underwent a tactical approach where we came up with an interesting way to present our brand of children’s clothing. Adia Pioneer Group developed a concept where four main superhero figures presented their talents to the public while wearing our uniforms. This way, anyone who would see the superheroes would associate them with our brand. 

We used several communication channels like TV, public advertising, and social media to promote this idea. Aida Pioneer Group made use of YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook for social media promotion.

We work with around seven people which includes the creative director, account manager, copywriter, and a team of designers. We also have a class production manager since we're shooting TV advertisements.

How did you come to work with Aida Pioneer Group?

When we gave an assignment to the agencies we had pre-selected, Aida Pioneer Group seemed to have the best understanding of the apparel market. They also had the ability to put themselves in a kid’s mentality. The other agencies were focused mainly on marketing to parents, which was understandable. Considering the children’s perspective, however, could make all the difference. We hired Aida Pioneer Group for those reasons and also for their focus on delivering practical results.

We’ve spent more than $100,000 for their services and for media expenses.

We’ve gotten awesome results from our campaign; we’ve sold almost 90% of our collection and have exceeded our expectations for revenue. Our goal was to receive $616 million in sales, and so far, we’ve already made $868 million.

How did Aida Pioneer Group perform from a project management standpoint?

Aida Pioneer Group’s account manager is very good. They’re amazing at working and delivering in the short term, considering that we completed all of our campaigns in four weeks’ time. Everything is straightforward. We communicate mainly through Telegram and email. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Aida Pioneer Group thinks about our business as though they were a part of our own company. They don’t just think like a creative advertising agency, they think like businessmen. 

The team also has a very experienced creative director who makes the whole idea behind our campaigns work. They’re very interesting but in a down-to-earth way.

The third most impressive thing about Aida Pioneer Group is that their processes are very organized. It makes it easy for me, as the client, to participate in the work without spending too much of my time. There are no surprises because I’m always in the loop when it comes to decisions and strategies. The team always communicates every design choice to ensure that we are on the same page.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We did a lot of work remotely because of COVID-19 and it has made some things a bit more complicated. Other than that, however, there’s nothing for them to improve on since we’re a good match. The chemistry between our company and theirs is really good.

Be as honest as possible with Aida Pioneer Group. Don’t be afraid to discuss your situation and budget because, as they've done with us, they’ll surely manage to create something out of nothing. Also, if there's anything about the way they communicate or their team structure that you don’t like, don’t hesitate to let them know. This will help you get the best results and engagement from the agency.

I'm Communication Specialist at the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Belarus.

For what projects/services did your company hire Aida Pioneer Group, and what were your goals?

We requested a set of 7 TV reels for older people presenting COVID prevention measures in a very clear and simple to remember and follow. The goal was to reach older population thru television as one of the main communication channels for them.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We usually follow United Nations rules for service providers - it's an open and publicly announced bidding process. Offers are evaluated based on:

1. the technical (including CVs of all members of the team that will be working within the project; relevant portfolio, etc.) and
2. creative proposal and
3. the total cost of the services (price quote).

The evaluation is carried out in a two-step process by an ad-hoc evaluation panel. Technical proposals are evaluated for technical compliance prior to the comparison of creative proposal and price quotes.

All three parts (technical, creative and price offer) are evaluated by the panel members and then their evaluations are calculated thru formula (70% of evaluation goes to creative proposal). In case of a satisfactory result from the evaluation process, UNFPA awards a contract to the Bidder that obtain maximum total score.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.

We started with a debriefing. We needed a campaign on COVID prevention measures targeted at the older people, most vulnerable social group, and their families as operating actors in protecting their parents.

We requested a set of 7 TV reels and posters, each addressing one of the most important and lifesaving patterns of COVID prevention rules. The main challenge was to disaggregate complex and lengthy WHO/Ministry of Health guidelines and structure them in a set of simple to learn and follow in everyday life routines easily locked with attractive and comprehensive key visuals.

Aida Pioneer creative team developed scripts meeting all UNFPA requests (re: one-action per message instructions, clear simple language, no use of complex sentences, etc.) and provided us with detailed, clear and perfectly structured animatics/scripts.

It was so nice and encouraging to see personal, emotional engagement (above excellent professional commitment) in the project! Understanding the highest social importance of the awareness project for the health of (older) people and the whole society, the team managed to significantly shorten the production period.

UNFPA as well noted that Aida Pioneer selected a wide range of excellent voices for dubbing – both in Russian and in English. For this project voices were in many ways important to create the bright, vivid lead characters of each video.

We worked with an account manager who was the driving force in following the time schedule and all arrangements re: logistics and negotiations. She successfully managed all agreement processes and provide us with all necessary information on the progress.

Due to COVID restrictions in the country we weren't able to conduct knowledge-attitude-practices survey with the target audience after the campaign.

The while AIDA Pioneer team, including account manager and engaged specialists, was excellent on communication and easy to find common language with state partners involved (Ministry of Health). It was very inspiring to see how professionally and ethically the AIDA Pioneer team negotiated with them and met their requests providing references, explanations and examples.]

All changes, if any, were announced well in advance, and we strictly followed the time frame. Bot only account manage communication with us – the whole project team participated and this approach saves us a lot of time and cut significantly agreement iterations. Due to COVID the whole process was distant thru video calls and chats.
