BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the Head of Innovation and Product for Happence. We provide a range of wellbeing and mental health services, including a fully digitised wellbeing service.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Affiniti AI, and what were your goals?

We needed an interactive guide on our digital platform to help people set their own personal goals and to use the information, tools and supports we have available effectively – to help them get there.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

They came highly recommended from Prof Philip Treleavan (UCL technology visionary). We looked at other potential providers, but Affiniti.ai's mix of psychology, digital and technical expertise - as well as their excitement for our project - won us over very quickly.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

This is uncharted territory - Affinit.ai are building us something that is unique, so this is a journey where everyone is learning.

• Phase 1: Pilot Study: Build and Test a proof of concept – achieved in 12 weeks.
• Phase 2: Build the conversations, assessments, goal setting tools and technology (conversational agent in Raza, Machine Learning algorithms, A.I, etc) -Test in a 7 week Usability Study
• Phase 3: Use the outputs from the Usability Study to build on the conversations, tools and technology -Test ChatBot on our live demo production Web App -Go Live on our client facing Web App
• Phase 4: Measure, Analyse, Improve

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Affiniti.ai are a small team and our teams work collaboratively - so we work directly with the all different members of the Affiniti.ai team according to which piece of work is being completed.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We have built a great working relationship based on trust and the ethics behind what we are trying to achieve. Sam and Nora’s strong academic background means they are able to undertake structured research that produces meaningful results. This is especially important as we build new capabilities in this space.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

We have a very open and trust based relationship. We work to Work Orders renewed on a six monthly basis that outline the desired outcomes from each period and the way we think that those things might be achieved. Because we work in an agile manner, these things change over time and we regularly agree new approaches and set new challenges.

Affiniti.ai produce regular updates that then allow management to easily track where they are up to, what the blockers may be and where their agreed focus has moved to.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Affinit.ai recognise that their success and our success are the same thing, so their response is always about how we can solve the problem and what the options might be.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We really enjoy working with them. So can't think of any negatives.
