After graduating from Ripon High School, Albert J. Nunes went to work for his father and uncle hauling milk. From behind the wheel of a 1966 Freightliner, he worked part time to help support himself while attending Modesto Junior College. In 1970, after marrying Carol Dias, he decided to start his own company. One year later, AC Trucking began with a single truck, hauling milk from central valley dairies, to local creameries.
