Act One Pictures was established as the production division of Voice & Video, a highly respected leader in A/V services in Southern California since 1973. In 1980 David Gimbel, along with two other partners, purchased Voice & Video and changed the focus of that business toward the sales and repair of audio & video equipment. In June of 2006, Act One Pictures moved to its current location on Vickers Street and was then purchased by Kathleen St. Peter.
