Acorn Works is an AI development company in Cincinnati, Ohio, that builds custom apps, AI agents and automation for small and midsized businesses. We're a small, hands-on team: you work directly with the people building your software, with no account managers or handoffs.
Some clients need a complete system. Others need one piece done right. We do both:
• Custom apps: software built around how your business runs, not generic subscription software you bend your business to fit. Scheduling, time clocks, maintenance, inventory, hiring, billing and customer portals, on web, iOS and Android, with AI built in where it pays off.
• AI agents and chatbots: website chatbots, AI lead routing, assistants that answer from your own policies and documents, and AI document and invoice review with a person approving anything that matters.
• Text, voice and email: two-way SMS, AI voice and call handling, automated reminders and confirmations, and shared team inboxes, wired directly into your systems.
• Data cleanup and consolidation: we merge data scattered across spreadsheets, old databases and software subscriptions into one clean source, the groundwork AI needs to give right answers.
We've delivered 20 projects for businesses including entertainment and event venues, construction, auto services, youth sports organizations and marketing agencies. Every project starts with a Genesis meeting, then we build with weekly progress meetings, move through beta and launch, and offer optional monthly support. Clients own their code and their data.
We serve Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky and Southwest Ohio in person, and clients across the US remotely.

Acorn Works came out of operating multi-location businesses. We started by building the software our own operations needed, then began building for other businesses. We've since delivered 20 projects for entertainment and event venues, construction, auto services, youth sports organizations and marketing agencies. We build custom apps, AI agents and automation made for one business, not another subscription, and our clients own their code and data.
