I am the co-founder of a digital design studio. We work mostly in art direction and animation.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with achos!?

We were looking to have web development done for our business.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement? 

We hired them to develop a website as they have a very innovative approach to creating websites and communicating with the audience.

We designed the website, and they took care of the development side of things. The website is a self-initiated project by us which was funded by 2 funds here in the Netherlands. It covers new behaviors that have emerged on social networks and in how people communicate online.

They used PHP, HTML, CSS, as well as their creative direction and concepting skills.

What is the team dynamic?

We worked with 2 members of their team.

How did you come to work with achos!?

We initially stumbled across their website and liked it. After we contacted them, we discovered we had a lot in common in our work and decided to hire them for this project.

How much have you invested in them?

We spent less than $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The work began in March of last year and the project was completed in June of this year.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We are very satisfied with the way they developed the website. Our project has been written about in a couple of magazines, and in general, we have received good feedback.

How did achos! perform from a project management standpoint?

We are pleased with their communication. We mostly communicated through Skype, as most of the time we were not based in the same city. We scheduled meetings through email and we used Dropbox to fill in new documents or requirements. We also used Google Docs for meetings and references. The project management went very smoothly and the collaboration was very pleasant.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were very open to new ideas.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I wouldn’t say that there is anything they should improve at the moment.
