BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the director of marketing for a premier RV and beach vacation destination company in Orange County and San Diego. Our two properties feature beachfront cottages, RV sites, pools, private cabanas, and event services. Both properties have been in existence for over 50 years.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with The ACE Agency?

We wanted to get our name out in the media for better visibility.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We hired them to get our name in the media through news stories and press coverage. They took complete control of developing the PR campaign. When we needed new ideas, we would brainstorm and put our heads together. However, they took the lead. In the work, they’ve brought on influencers, done television media stories, and placed our resort and restaurant offerings in articles. 

They managed our Instagram and Facebook accounts as well. In that effort, they’re mostly responsible for stories, but they recommend ideas for posts as well. They provide photos, and we post them. While they were just handling the work for one of our locations before, we recently added the other property to their scope of work.  

What is the team composition?

We worked with Ashley (CEO), Kathryn (PR & Marketing Specialist), and some social media specialists. 

How did you come to work with The ACE Agency?

We were referred to them by word of mouth. They were currently on board when I started with the company. 

How much have you invested with them?

We spend about $30,000 each year with them. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working with them since about 2016.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve had major TV stations come to us to cover our holidays. Our business also gets a tremendous amount of press for their efforts. Plenty of articles have been written about us because of their team.  

How did The ACE Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

We have a monthly meeting, after which they’ll send related agendas and meeting notes. They use Agorapulse to schedule posts and measure the results of their work.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re creative and collaborative. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Not really, they provide excellent services. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I’d recommend them because they’re a professional group that does an excellent job getting coverage.
