    Our Story

    We are AccuSolar — a U.S.-based team born from 20+ years of AccuDock dock engineering, now leading floating photovoltaic solutions. Our values: engineered integrity, domestic manufacturing, and durable, aesthetic design. We custom-build aluminum-framed, foam-filled floats and low-tilt arrays that reduce damage, anchoring and lifecycle costs. Partners include utilities, state agencies and DOE; plants built in a 67k sq ft Florida facility.

    Floating solar, or Floating Photovoltaics (FPV), is the deployment of solar PV systems on water bodies such as reservoirs, industrial ponds, treatment basins, and irrigation storage. Solar modules are mounted on buoyant platforms that are anchored or moored in place while remaining electrically and mechanically isolated from the water.

    Yes. System designs are developed using applicable U.S. structural, wind, and electrical standards. Where required, third-party Professional Engineers coordinate site-specific analysis and stamping in accordance with jurisdictional requirements. AccuSolar also offers Project Readiness Evaluation Analysis (PRE) which will tackle specific project location requirements and determine overall feasibility of the project.

    Anchoring methods are site-specific and may include: Deadweight Anchors, Helical Anchors, Shore-Based Anchors or Piles, and Hybrid Mooring Systems. Flexible mooring lines which remain under constant tension are used to accommodate water-level fluctuations. If below water anchors are to be used, often times a bathymetry study mapping out the water body floor are required.

    Inverters and transformers are typically installed on shore. This simplifies permitting, improves accessibility, and aligns with current U.S. regulatory norms. AccuSolar works with EPCs and their electrical engineering for clean cable management and routing to shore of the DC wiring.

    In many cases, yes. Floating solar benefits from: Lower operating temperatures due to water-based cooling, Increased bifacial gain from high-albedo float surfaces, and Improved airflow around modules. AccuSolar uses a conservative assumption of approximately 15% yield uplift relative to comparable ground-mounted systems, subject to site conditions and independent validation. AccuSolar is also in the process of securing usable data to validate these assumptions.
