Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder of Payzap, a digital payments platform in Pakistan. We enable secure, real-time NFC and QR-based transactions for consumers and merchants to support a cashless economy.

What specific goals or objectives did you hire Abubakr iqbal to accomplish for Payzap?

We hired Abubakr iqbal to complete our design system for the MVP of our fintech app and lay down the foundation of our design language.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Abubakr iqbal has been leading the whole design process end-to-end, from wireframing our requirements to creating actual working prototypes. Then, he’s been involved with engineers and the product team during the development lifecycle. He’s owned everything from a design perspective.In terms of deliverables, he’s provided us with a complete concept-to-design system, UI kits, and interactive prototypes.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Thanks to Abubakr iqbal’s work, we’ve completed our MVP and scaled it based on user feedback and analytics. We now have a uniform design language that reflects us and our brand.Overall, the design has had a huge impact on why users use us. Sending money has gotten easier for them, from KYC onboarding to bill payments. As a result, our user retention has been high. In fact, our retention rate is 70%, which is huge in fintech. We also have almost daily engagements from users of different age groups. Moreover, we’ve received a lot of good feedback about the easy onboarding and good UX.

How did Abubakr iqbal perform from a project management standpoint?

Abubakr iqbal’s communication is good. He always delivers on time and is very active and transparent. In terms of tools, we use virtual meetings, emails, and messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Abubakr iqbal’s communication skills are impressive. He’s able to translate our requirements into design and has good business knowledge.

We needed to redesign the UI/UX for one of our platform's core modules.

Abubakr iqbal mapped the entire workflow, redesigned the user workflow, and created a new design for UI components. The team redesigned the tasks module.
