I’m the CEO of MoneyRebel, a startup building all in one financial platform for a digital advisory experience.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with ABC Tech Group?

We hired ABC Tech Group to create our financial advisory platform.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started the design and then a few months later, their team came in to start development. They’re now in the final stages of building our financial advisory platform that connects advisors and clients digitally. It includes various features and tools such as digital onboarding, digital profiling, and aggregation for banking and crypto accounts. The enterprise-level software will be used as a cloud offering for small companies, as a white-label solution for larger advisory businesses, and as a private banking model for retail banks.

What is the team composition?

I interacted with the CEO, the project manager, a team lead, and an architect. We got to meet the entire team when they visited our office.

How did you come to work with ABC Tech Group?

After interviews with different providers in the region, we decided to work with ABC Tech Group.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement with ABC Tech Group started in March 2018 and ended in October 2018.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The platform launched for clients in October 2018, but we have to redesign features on the advisory aspect. In May, we’ll have presentations and demo calls for various advisory companies.

How did ABC Tech Group perform from a project management standpoint?

Communication was perfect. The deadlines were mostly respected, but there’s a lot of blame for missing them on our team. We usually found that code version was different than what we envisioned on paper, which is why there were a couple rounds of development.

What did you find most impressive about them?

When working with ABC Tech Group, clients can immediately see their skills and expertise. The project manager and other top management officials know a lot of Syntex and financial services. That was our key reasoning for working with their team.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We envisioned their team pushing us more in the designing of the specification. They could go through multiple MVPs. We had one beta version, but since we’re not highly experienced, it’d be nice to receive more direction.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have their CTO have complete control all the time. We failed to do this. Within our team, our CTO wasn’t as experienced.
