Abbeal sourced, vetted and onboarded two senior React developers — Matthieu and Marie — who joined as full-time contributors on our roadmap. They handled UI scripting in React inside the product, integrated with the rest of the front-end stack (Node/Laravel back-end), participated in code reviews, and worked in our async-friendly process across the Portugal–Japan time difference. Abbeal also stayed actively involved on the pilotage side : weekly check-ins, smooth replacement protocols when needed, and a single point of contact for any escalation.

Three things : (1) the speed at which they understood our product context, despite the geographic and cultural distance ; (2) the seniority and autonomy of the consultants they presented — no junior profiles dressed up as seniors ; (3) the personal involvement of Sébastien on the relationship — every issue gets a real answer, not a ticket.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Abbeal could have done differently?

If anything, we could push the integration with our internal tools (Notion, Slack) one step further at the start of new engagements.
