We were honored to receive the 9-Figure Media $5,000 Pro-Bono Grant for our charity, DV Safe Phone, which provides free mobile phones to victims of domestic violence across Australia.

As a small charity, we urgently needed support to raise awareness and collect more phones and funds during May Domestic Violence Prevention Month in Australia. Our goal was to secure media coverage across radio, TV, and print to amplify our mission.

In the past, our attempts to reach the media were often redirected to advertising departments something we couldn’t afford. Every spare dollar we have goes directly toward repairing and delivering phones to those in need. With no budget for advertising, the support we received through the 9-Figure Media grant was critical in helping us share our story and reach those who can help.

Direct media interviews and coverage on Radio, Print and TV in Australia
Increase in the number of donations of phones and funds to DV Safe Phone in the month of May

They sent through a full calendar of media and used a clever platform where we could see and approve requested interviews.
We participated in over 30 interviews in the first 8 days of the campaign, incldung on Radio stations Australia wide and TV in Sydney and Brisbane.
The team at 9-Figure Media ensured we were well practiced for the interviews and that all the messaging and media was provided to their contacts in advance of our meeting, to ensure everything went smoothly.
9-Figure Media were very flexible with our available times and kept us informed of updated and media interest on a daily basis.

Discovery
We started with a tailored questionnaire to define my brand, audience, and key message.
Topic Alignment: 9-Figure suggested story angles based on my goals, such as building credibility and targeting referral partners, and we agreed on the final outline.

Draft & Review
First Draft: Their writers created a full-length article that highlighted how I help service businesses attract referral partners.

If I had one minor suggestion, it would be to include a few more photos in the articles. As someone who appreciates visual elements, extra images would add a nice “wow” factor. That said, it’s a personal preference and doesn’t take away from the excellent quality of their work.
