Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder of Dopties, a digital platform for animal rescuers, foster carers, and shelters to manage pet adoption efficiently. We offer tools for pet profiles, inquiries, and records while helping adopters find pets without enabling sales or breeding.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What specific goals or objectives did you hire The 8th Archer to accomplish for Dopties?

Initially, we wanted someone to design our logo and help us pick a color palette. However, after meeting with Supriya and The 8th Archer’s team, we realized how much work went into designing a web product. We then finalized them to help us build our brand’s design system from scratch, including colors, typography, iconography, rules, and guidelines. Moreover, they helped us understand our brand and brand values.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The 8th Archer designed our brand’s design system, including typography, iconography, logos, color palette, and brand guidelines. They also gave us a complete brand kit for a web product. Although they didn’t develop our website, they took into consideration that we weren’t a typical retail physical brand. Being a web-based SaaS product, our design requirements were more than those of any other brand. The team worked carefully with us to ensure all their designs worked on the website, especially the iconography and color palette.

How did you come to work with The 8th Archer?

We found them through an online search. We chose them because their pricing fit our budget, they were a great culture fit, they offered good value for the cost, and their company values aligned with ours.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from April 2026–September 2026.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We first saw the three design directions, including the colors, logo, and font. Then, we picked one, mixing a couple of them. After that, we saw the refined version of the one we picked.We got more returning users, and the verbal feedback from users was highly positive. We also got positive feedback from research with random users, which we documented in interview notes.

How did The 8th Archer perform from a project management standpoint?

The 8th Archer was always on track. We communicated via virtual meetings, emails, and messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The 8th Archer asked a lot of questions, most of which we hadn’t thought about. These questions were integral to what our brand identity should be. The team had a methodical process; it was investigative and structured. They had predefined deliverables and open communication lines. Moreover, they took feedback very seriously and didn’t stop until we were happy with the output.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I was very happy with their work, so there was nothing they could improve on.
