845 Design Group is a full-service architectural design firm dedicated to creating informed designs that contribute to our client’s success. Incorporated in 2012 by founding principals, Megan Harte, and Jamie Zaura, 845 Design Group has a passion for opening the lines of communication, relationship building, and community-based projects that positively impact the lives of those that live, work and heal in our spaces.
We believe in practicing what you preach and are dedicated to serving our profession and our communities. One of our founding members serves on the board for our professional organization, the American Institute of Architects (AIA), and the other is a Village Trustee in her community. 845 Design Group has over 25 years combined experience in healthcare, municipal, commercial and residential markets. 845 Design Group is a Certified Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) with the State of Illinois, Cook County, City of Chicago and the National Women’s Enterprise National Council (WBENC).
Our firm name comes from the address of the building where Megan and Jamie first formed their friendship; 845 W. Harrison, is the address of the architecture building on UIC’s campus. The selection of the firm name was to serve as a reminder for the role architecture plays in our lives, buildings are the stage where relationships form and life takes place.
