I am the CTO of Artgeist, the leading picture and photo wallpaper e-commerce store in Poland. Operating globally, the company offers top-quality products in over 17 countries.

For what projects/services did your company hire 4soft, and what were your goals?

Our online business has started gaining momentum, introducing many new brands and products with shipping to 17 countries. Such growth called for new digital solutions that would cope with our evolving needs. That's why we decided to develop a new internal system for managing all of the products, order fulfillment, and returns. Another ongoing project focuses on improving the customer experience by adding new functionalities across the e-commerce stores. 4soft appeared as a great partner for both.

First of all, our in-house resources were limited, so we needed an external team that could support us in software development. We wanted a long-term technology partner that would help us continuously develop and improve our solution. Considering their experience and expertise, 4soft was the best candidate for the job.

Our internal IT team joined forces with 4soft developers for the purposes of this project. Their specialists focused on the development of the application designed to manage internal processes: the warehouse, production line, order fulfilment, and returns. 4soft developers’ scope of work includes maintenance and implementation of new features. Ongoing work also regards the legacy code. We are planning to get rid of it and rely entirely on new software by 2023.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The outcome of our collaboration is a seamless IT team extension and outstanding performance. The development velocity is of great significance, as the internal management application is one of our key projects at the moment. Some of the business KPIs are tied to the proper implementation of the platform, so smooth integration was crucial for us - and it worked great!

We didn’t outsource the app development process entirely, but chose the team extension model instead, integrating 4soft developers into our internal team. That’s why our core focus was the smooth implementation of the external specialists so that they could quickly start working on a new solution. All that went faster and easier than we expected!

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The most impressive aspect of this cooperation was 4soft's proactive attitude. They do not just fulfil their duties, but also take the initiative and come up with creative ideas that made our solution even better. Considering our results up to date, we feel confident to expand our collaboration in the following months.

I am the Director of an award-winning chilled glass installation provider that has served business clients in the construction industry for the past 20 years.

The specifics of our projects require the high personal involvement of our design experts. As a result, the design process can become a bottleneck for the entire business. We needed a custom application that would tackle this issue, simplifying the designer's workflow. We hoped 4soft could help us automate various designer's tasks. The app 4soft team would build for us was supposed to replace the legacy software we would use in the design process.

We selected 4soft based on recommendations of partners and an additional background check. 4soft appeared to have the right expertise and experience for our project. We were also determined to find someone who had previously worked with the construction industry, and 4soft fulfilled that requirement.

We started by carrying out a workshop with 4soft to show them how we used the program and the main pain points. Then, we defined a list of features for the new application. Next, 4soft’s CTO audited the old software’s architecture and designed a new one. 4soft’s product designer worked with us and 4soft’s CTO to create a clean UX and UI. Once this was done, the development team started the implementation stage.

The application’s backend is written using Java’s Spring framework, and Python – 4soft implemented these two technologies due to the diversity of services within the project. The Java services fulfill our business needs and external system integrations, while Python handles the data processing and mathematical algorithms within the glass installation design process. The application’s frontend was built with React. For hosting, we used AWS cloud solutions. 4soft team also collaborated with our senior installation designer, who tested the new features and provided expert feedback.

I reached out to the 4soft owner as I had previously known him. The offer the company gave us had satysfying conditions, so we decided to proceed with it.

We were looking for an external team that could provide us necessary development skills to develop and maintain our platform built with Camunda, PHP, Symfony, React technologies.

4soft provides us with 4 Backend developers +1 Frontend developer, who work with our internal team consisting of developers, a tester, a PO, and a PM. However, we are looking to expand the collaboration soon.

This is one of our key projects for us, as some of our business KPIs are tied to the proper implementation of the platform.

The project management is on our side, so we enjoy the adjustment of the 4soft team to our work model. When internal personal changes happened on the 4soft side, it didn’t affect the overall speed or quality of their work, so we view the team as very effective.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their business understanding and approach to problems - they quickly dealt with internal staff changes and took care that those didn’t affect the workflow in our project. The developers have vast experience and their contribution has a significant meaning to the overall performance of the whole team.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I don’t see any at this point. 4soft is really proactive and fixes potential issues before they actually get in the way.
